I thank God for Avoderm. We have a chocolate lab who as a pup had all kinds of digestive issues and would throw up or have diarrhea with various dog foods, and let me tell you, we tried everything. Finally I came across Avoderm and a ton of testimonials about how great it was for dogs with digestive problems and picky eaters. Harley loved it! And it immediately eliminated the diarrhea. The problem was he wolfed the food down--he liked it that much. So we purchased a specialty dish to slow down his consumption. One note to those with dogs who 'itch' or have dry skin. We actually attempted to try Blue Wilderness with Harley and his itching was out of control. Once we put him on Avoderm the results were instantaneous and he has never itched since. His coat literally glows on this kibble! And he's very 'happy' compared to a more lethargic, droopy attitude on the Blue Wilderness. I'm sure Blue is a good kibble, but for Harley he absolutely loves his Avoderm and looks and feels better because of it. I most definitely would recommend this product to others!

I was feeding my dog a mixture of Pedigree Adult dry and Gravy Train wet. The Pedigree didn't SEEM to be the culprit (she had been eating that much longer w/Pedigree wet) but the Gravy Train I switched her to in order to save some $ was a prime suspect so I researched foods and switching based on my wife's advice. Blue (the dog) had been looking mangy for quite some time in her hind quarters and had been licking/chewing CONSTANTLY! Rusty pink spots, bumps on her backside, base of the tail, brown fur (she is a Dalmation/Terrier mix). I weened her off of both (over 6 days time) and have been feeding her the Avoderm wet/dry combo for 3 days now. She is so much better! She still licks from time to time but only about 10% as much as she was. The fur looks much better and the brown is fading away!! I waited a full week to see if there would be a difference before I reviewed this product, but there is!!! A HUGE DIFFERENCE!! Most dog foods have some type of "meal" product in them. Corn meal, Soybean meal, stuff you wouldn't feed your enemies and that can cause allergic reactions which develop over time. Trust me, if I didn't see it, I wouldn't believe this! No wheat, no corn, no artificial colors. The ingredients in this stuff make you feel good about yourself. I have been hungry a few times and thought...hmmm, I would eat THAT! Follow the weening suggestions and do something GOOD for your dog! Totally happy with this product!!!

I adopted both my girls from shelters and they were eating regular old dog food. Their coats were dull...but didn't realize how dull until they started eating the AvoDerm. This stuff is amazing. They love it and their coats are so soft and bright.

I have a cockerspaniel and this is the only dog food that keeps his skin from being dry. I have tired more expensive foods and yes he would eat them but they didnt do much for his skin or his coat. I noticed the change about two weeks after using the product. Im sure if you have a high maintenance companion then give this brand a try.

I have 2 weenie dogs. The newest is a long hair. The past 3 before her were all short hair, so I guess I never saw the importance of a really good food for coat purposes before. I tried to buy good food for health purposes only. Well, being short on funds for a while and temporarily taking care of a total of 4 dogs, I switched from Eukanuba (which I thought was really good) to a brand sold at Walmart, that while not the cheapest there, was definitely a lot cheaper. However, we noticed a HUGE difference in all the dogs coats. Especially our long hair. Her hair got realllyyyy thin. You could see her SKIN on some parts. So, I started researching the best brands for improving the coat and found Avoderm. I am sooooo pleased. Her hair not only came back, but it came back thicker, fuller and softer than ever before! We were also having problems with flakiness on the tips of the ears in all the dogs which also went away with the switch. I'm a loyal Avoderm buyer now and searched everywhere and was driving 50 minutes away just to get it after moving to a tiny town in a new state with no large chain pet stores. You can imagine my surprise when I realized I could get it on Amazon, and it was even cheaper than driving to the store. Easier and cheaper!! It's a win win!! This is good stuff!

I followed the directions for weaning off old and onto the new, but my dog would pick out and eat all the old food first! Little frustrating. After all her old food was gone she didn't have a choice but to eat it. These are smaller kibbles than I had expected so this dog food could be fed to smaller dogs as well as small/medium dogs. My pit, Magnum eats this food but she always stares at me until she is sure I am absolutely not going to put anything else in her bowl. I haven't noticed her shedding any less, and her coat has always been shiny (she is a blue pit-really pretty). I bought this because it seems to have better ingredients than most out there and I want to give her the best. I just wish she liked it better. I am still debating on whether to buy it again or try to see if I can find something she thinks is tastier but that still has healthy ingredients in it.
