"T. A. Grey's "The Kategan Alphas Series" is a sultry, sexy, suspenseful trip into the paranormal that starts at 100mph and never slows down. T. A. Grey creates a cast of hunky alpha werewolves, scintillating female wolf mates, and ravenous vampires who keep you flipping the pages hour after hour. Ms. Grey's world of "The Kategan Alphas" is crafted smartly and woven with realism that inspires the reader to feel like the wolves could be living in secret right next door. Grey's "Kategan Alphas" are humorous, erotic, and emotionally satisfying. T. A. Grey is a self-published author to watch." by Amber L. Barr from Vampire and Immortal Books Blog.

Loved this!! I felt so sorry for Sarina and Vane and sympathized with their situation. This book has humor, a hot 3some early on, super sexy sex scenes, funny twilight recferences (loved them!) and a surprisingly satisfying ending. There's an excerpt at the end for the next book, and i cant wait for it!

Reading this book was like watching a bad porno. I can't believe I bothered to read the whole thing.

Lot's of sex and more sex. Lots of grammatical errors and more errors. There are only so many times you can click to report content errors before you feel like you're working instead of enjoying a good read. By the end, I had learned to read past all the awkward sentences. But the blower was reading an oral sex scene towards the end of the book where the female was performing the act for the first time. She had already performed oral when she first met her male counterpart many chapters earlier! The scene should have been endearing and virginal, but I was too distracted by the faulty editing. Seriously?!

Another irritating flaw in this book was the treatment of what the characters were. Were they supposed to be just human or were they actually supposed to be werewolves? Where's the shape shifting? How do two alphas get into minor skirmishes and their packs don't get involved? This needed more development to make sense of how the characters interracted.

Some scenes were amusing, erotic, suspensful. I did like the idea of an animal going into heat as part of the plot. I think more authors should take advantage of that unique phenomenon that occurs in nature. Unfortunately, the book overall wasn't worth my time.

Apparently, I am alone in my perception of this book and I am okay with that. We are each entitled to our own opinions; however, I just wonder if I read the same book as other reviewers.

Sigh...now with that said, on to the actual review.

The very first sentence starts the book with a sexual interlude. I don't particularly care for books that begin in that manner because no story line has been established at that point.

At about 24% on my Kindle, sex was still very much the dominant theme but Ms. Grey attempted to weave a bit of story into it. At 36%, I started noticing and becoming irritated by the magnitude of typographical and grammatical errors in a novella length book. I discovered a run-on sentence that I actually had to read twice to understand what Ms. Grey was attempting to convey. Very little or no editing occurred in this book. And oh, sex is still very much the prevailing theme at this point. I found it trite and quite tedious that the story had not progressed past this point. It's perfectly alright to include sex in a story. H-o-o-o-owever, it is NOT alright to base an entire story on it when the book was described as a paranormal romance.......NOT erotica!

Halfway into the book the story begins to take shape. The "story" portion only covered about 20% of the book while the remaining 80% was sex...sex...and oh, more sex! The sex scenes were not even that great and began to seem repetitive after a while.

Needless to say, neither this book nor the teaser at the end has remotely sparked my interest in the next book. A big ole P-A-S-S for me.

I couldn't even get through this, she uses SO many terms (AND NAMES!!) from other books (most notably Sherrilyn Kenyon) that it became a hate read and then all I was doing was comparing it (to SK's Night Play) and getting pissed off. I asked the book clubs I belonged to and EVERY single one of them said they wouldn't/couldn't read it either.

i couldn't get past the first few paragraphs. it opens with a sex scene with two guys. the author mixes up their names repeatedly. i took this as a bad omen and decided not to read on. for crying out loud if you are screwing up that early on there can't be much hope for the rest of the book.

This book grabbed my attention right from the start. If you, love paranormal romance books, you will love this book. I read it in one night, and immediately ordered the next three books in the series. Yes, there are spelling errors, but big deal...still was a great story.

I really enjoyed the Kategan Alphas Series, I read each story and love the characters. The stories are better than most werewolf stories, T. A. Grey captured the alpha and possessive part of the werewolf that I like to see. However, I had one little problem, how can you write about shifters that never shift. I would recommend the whole series based on the sex scenes and chemistry between main characters. If you're looking for more story involving the pack and how they interact in the werewolf community this series is not for you.

Hot! The book contains very erotic sex scenes (yes!!) and it also has a great plot. The series ties together well and I highly recommend reading all of the books. I was hoping for more to the series, but so far nothing... I will be watching for new releases from this author. If you are into paranormal romance with tons of sex, this is it!
