I used to love listening to the radio and hearing all varieties of music on my favorite station. There are some songs that grab you and move you from the first time you hear it on the radio. I was fortunate enough to hear this song for the first time on the radio this past summer on a station in the UK. The music comes floating along and takes you away right from the beginning. It samples a song that was one of my girlhood summertime favorites ...Breezin' by George Benson. And then smooth velvety
vocals with a flirtacious lyric, singing all about a man in love who has summer everyday just because she comes by. It is a shame this was not released in the US for the summer months because I think it could have been a breakout kind of hit, like "Soak up the Sun" for Sheryl Crow last year.
In years past, songs like "You are the Sunshine of my Life", and
"Killing Me Softly" came from the speakers on my radio and became unforgettable. I believe this song by Donny Osmond has the same quality of ease and beauty of lyric that will serve it well over time.You would do well to buy a copy...and tell a friend. The song was great, BUT if you are an older buyer like I am and don't know all the terminology, BEWARE! This is a very expensive way to listen to one song. I didn't realize that single meant only one song and $12.99 is too much to pay. Like I said, the song is great, the price is rotten!

Imagine a performer who has endured the test of time, the changing of fickle public tastes....and comes out on top each and every time. This is Donny Osmond. His new CD, "What I Meant to Say", is another testament to his talent and endearing appeal as an entertainer. If you're looking for a "whole new sound" it's not here. Donny's velvety tenor is unmistakable. But this is a compliment, not a criticism. Why change what already works? What you will find is proof that Donny's talent extends beyond singing... to writing: he has written most of the songs on this new CD. It's an amazing piece of work. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

I grew up a Donny Osmond fan. I buy his music on pure faith alone, and you know what...I have NEVER been disappointed ! I didn't know he had finalized the CD, but now that I do know...it's top of the list now ! It never ceases to amaze me how this man has kept the YOUTH of his voice, while so many others OUR age has sounded...older....and not necessarily better. Without even hearing this one, I know it's GREAT. But then...I may be prejudice...

I'm a pop & jazz fan but I never thought I'd buy a Donny Osmond recording. Pleasantly surprized by the quality.
