This is a good one. Here you have guitarists Howard Alden and Bucky Pizzarelli and also includes bassist Greg Cohen and drummer Tony DeNicola along with leader Davern on clarinet.
Glorious upbeat music with stunning interplay between the clarinet and the guitars. Davern is a little known master, but he deserves recognition up there with the greats on his intrument. It is a very fine album all the way through and I highly recommend it. If you like Davern you may also want to get his work with pianist Dick Wellstood too. |
