Firstly, I received the wrong size (smartphone as opposed to tablet) despite the receipt and a sticker--slapped on a picture of an iPhone--telling me that I did indeed receive the tablet sized podium. Next, this is an obvious counterfeit. On Breffo's website, there are pictures of spiderpodia that look nothing like the one I received. The central "hub" where the legs meet has a hole through it, and doesn't carry the Breffo logo as those in the official images do.

Spiderpodium Tablet Stand Should really be rebranded as a iPad stand, i have a android 10" tablet and it barely works. alot of the pictures shown are of the device holding the bottom and the sides of the iPad and this is not possible with a 16:9 screen ratio of a 10 inch device

This item may work great in the short run, but bend the legs frequently and you are asking for trouble. It only takes about 10 flexes of the legs to snap them, and once they are snapped they hang pathetically off the main device. After one goes, you may still use the device, but at 2 you are in trouble. Once a third goes, your spider podium has become an expensive cat toy.

Given that the main feature of this device is its flexibility, this flaw undermines its whole purpose. Two thumbs way down.

We love this thing! It is compact, easy to use and versatile. We love how we can use it at home and in the car. It can be used in so many ways to hold the iPad in place. We have kids and it is great for them to watch a movie in the car and place it anywhere with the spiderpodium. Would definitely recommend!

When I first saw this stand, I thought it's a neat idea. But that's about all it is now that I've used it for a week. The legs are flexible but they don't really hold onto my iPad (maybe because I keep my iPad case on?) The stand will hold the iPad up, but I've to adjust it every time I take my iPad on and off. Neat design but doesn't execute well.

I got a Kindle Fire for the holidays and also decided to set a New Year Resolution to walk on my treadmill every day. The problem was that my treadmill did not have a book support and none of the standard ones would fit (The deck is about 4 inches thick). This Breffo Spiderpodium bent perfectly to hold my Kindle Fire and it's case (it sits on 2 legs bent like an L and then the 4 angled ones wrap gently around the sides), and its legs are also long enough for the top two legs to wrap around the edge of the treadmill deck. I leave it on all of the time and just slip the kindle in when I need it. I even have it set so that it allows me to still read my speed and incline. It is unobtrusive for when my husband wants to see the treadmill readout and watch TV instead. The rubberized surface gives it traction so that it does not bounce around or slip at all even when "turning pages". I will be using this daily!

I am upset that a leg broke after 50 days of use, but I've contacted Breffo in order to see if they will send me a new one. I absolutely love this thing for my tablet (Acer Iconica a500). I'm really hoping that Breffo does RMA this for me. If they do, I'll change my rating back to 5 stars.

One note: Newer models of the iPhone-sized Spiderpodium have more flexibility to their arms. I'm hoping that the iPad-sized Spiderpodium turns out to be a similar situation.

Update: I contacted Breffo via their Web page, and I received an Email and a phone call within 24 hours. They asked for further info regarding my order, and after I provided that, I received a shipping tracking number within 24 additional hours. Going back to 5 stars! I love this thing, and I can't go back to using my tablet without it!

I ordered black but due to problems with their supplier they offered me white with free shipping which I agreed to. Things happen and I appreciate that they gave me something of value to substitute for my loss of color choice. The product is everything I expected. It is very useful and versatile. I think I am going to order another and send it to my son for his Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Tablet.

Keep in mind this is for the tablet/iPad version- not to be confused for the smaller one for iPod/cellphone

This is a review of my order experience, not a review of the product.

From what I can tell there are two sizes, the original SpiderPodium, for Cellphones, and the SpiderPodium Tablet, for ipads and the like. I wanted this to attach ipad to my exercise bike. I confirmed the different sizes on Breffo website.

When ordering, I clicked the "Amazon Fullfillment" designated vendor. When I received the item, it was the smaller version, not the larger Tablet version. The vendor had stuck a "Tablet" label over the original labeling, which of course doesn't change what it is any more than putting a "Mercedes Benz C280" label on it. In fact, it strikes me as deceptive, although of course I have no way of knowing that. Definitely frustrating. According to Amazon chat:

Kimberly:It looks like Warehouse Deals, which is a part of Amazon.com.
