The video is nicely done, and quite informative. Brent does a good job of breaking down the forward stroke into basic (but critical) elements. His illustrations of the recommended techniques are clear and seem to be authoritative. Since I had previously learned some of the fundamentals, it wasn't all new to me, but the reinforcement was helpful. His "chicken wing" positioning of the elbow was most interesting, as I had always wondered about the tradeoffs of hand and elbow positioning. Besides being clear, he does an excellent job of explaining why he is recommending a particular approach. I can't comment on his preference for wing paddles, but the techniques recommended are independent of paddle type. A bonus is a section on preparatory exercises, which is also very beneficial.

Very good video on paddling a kayak efficently. The visual demostrations provide a good model to use for practice. The views of around San Deigo are great.
