I am exremley pleased with this product. Brenthaven designed a bag that is comfortable, with great function, style and durability. I use this bag daily lugging my laptop and business material, walking the city all day I don't feel the weight of the cargo it's properly balanced with good padding on the back and thick shoulder straps.

The design is well thought out nothing hangs from the bag that can snag, the zippers are large and easy to use. The amount and size of the pockets and are accurate for day use and airline carry-on. Going through airport security is a breeze. I can easily take the bag off in a crowd and unzip to lay flat in the storage bucket; I don't take my laptop out of bag. On the backside there is kangaroo pocket to store the shoulder straps, which again makes it easy to carry in large crowds without out the worry of snagging.

I receive compliments from colleagues and fashion conscious friends for same reasons. The bag does its job without attracting attention to itself. Even though I use it daily in all weather the bag looks good and functions as the day I got it.

I am reassured that Brenthaven offers a lifetime warranty and is dedicated to creating a zero impact product.

The comments under the product review was actually what sold me on this bag. I received this bag this past Saturday and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It feels like it was MADE for my Macbook (well... it was). I highly recommend it. The dedicated cord pocket at the bottom has been a major hit with me so far. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the fact that there is no outside pocket for pens and pencils; you have to actually get into the main pockets for that. As a college student, I'm frequently having to whip out a pen to jot something down quickly. Other than that though, this bag is a wonder.

I bought this for my 15" macbook because I needed something to take on my honeymoon. My husband has another Brenthaven backpack for his computer, and even though he uses it EVERYDAY for work and has had it for over a year, it looks brand new. I am so impressed with the quality of the fabric and zippers.. Nothing is worse than having cheap zippers on backpacks or luggage. I love this backpack, and it is worth every penny.

*Note: This one is perfect for a woman. It's small enough so it's not bulky, but still fits everything I need to put in it. I wish I had this in college..

The Brenthaven 2255 Metrolite BP-XF (Black/Gray) is by far the best designed Backpack on the market based on my research.
The computer protection is rock solid and no additional computer sleeve is needed.
The compartments are well thought out and zips function very smoothly.
It is easy to carry on the back and the xray friendly features take the chore out of going through security.
On the negative side, space is a bit limited if one likes to stuff a lot of reading materials. An expansion slot, for heavy load days, would have been a good additional feature.
Overall very happy to own this product which combines features, laptop protection, looks and value for money very well.

I give Brenthaven two thumbs up -- way up, for there outstanding products. I purchased a Brenthaven backpack bag for my 17" Powerbook Pro laptop about 7 years ago. Since then I have literally taken it around the world into some very unforgiving environments--all the way constantly using it. Except for a smashed zipper handle (which happened in the Australian outback), the bag is in virtually perfect condition.

In a world where products seem to be made with less and less quality, it is exceptionally refreshing to experience something that truly lasts. Thanks Brenthaven for an absolutely outstanding bag.

This bag is perfect for protecting your notebook computer. There is a tremendous amount of padding. I was turned on to Brenthaven by a friend how has had a bag from them for many year's and it is still is great condition. The nylon is beefy and the zippers are nice, and the laptop compartment is lockable. The x-ray friendly feature is nice though I don't see myself using it anytime soon, but I'm sure I'll be glad I have it if ever needed. My only gripe is that it doesn't stretch much so there is only room for about 2 textbooks and over stuffing one compartment can cost you space in another. Though a little awkward to jam a MacBook charger into (because of the stiff cables and blocky adapter), the dedicated compartment for a notebook charger is nice to have. You don't yank all your pencils and other things out of the bag when going for the charger. Over all a great product by a great company that seems to really care (made in china though). I'm very pleased.

It's been over a year, the better of two actually, since I purchased the Brenthaven MetroLite, and have nothing but good things to say for it.

As a college student at a design university, I need my Macbook Pro with me where ever I go. So needless to say, this has gotten a lot of use.

However, even after heavy, heavy use for the better part of two years, it's still lookin' spiffy fine. It's got a little fraying on the side (very minimal, only mention so you don't think it's in 100% new condition), but that's probably from me ploppin' my bag down.

There is nothing near the strap though, which is what I feared would snap. It's very sturdy, and I don't expect it to snap anytime soon.

On top of all this, if anything was to happen to it, I've still got the lifetime warranty that follows Brenthaven.

I can actually get 2 unibody Macbook Pros if I need, but that's the max I'd put in it (one in back, one it front).

I've even had my Mac in the back, and my Canon T1i DSLR in the front. It's an odd fit, but it works.

Purchased this bag with a recommendation of the brand from my brother. Perfect size, its a slimmer profile than most laptop backpacks, but the compartment where your laptops goes is great, well cushioned with little jostling around, I know its safe. For me it was suggested to have a dedicated laptop bag and this fits the bill. I do put charger cord and small miscellaneous tech stuff in one of the outer pockets. Still keeps slimmer look. If you want to use for other stuff there are plenty of zippered pockets with smaller inner pockets for organizing. The zippers and materials are high quality!

I travel regularly and needed a replacement computer bag. I got this one based on the reviews. At first I thought it would be too small to be a good bag but it has proven to be better than my previous bag. The one thing that always surprises me is the weight. If you travel through airports enough with a computer bag slung over your shoulder you are familiar with that pain at the top of your shoulder from lugging the laptop around. Well this bag is so light, that feeling has gone away completely. And the padded strap makes the impression more pronounced. It is a very comfortable bag. In addition, I like all the compartments where I can stow away different items based on use. I like that and helps things stay organized.

Pockets galore. Fits my new Macbook 15 with hardshell case in the laptop sleeve perfectly. Took my gaggle of stuff I had in my old backpack's one extra pocket and its all organized. I even have room for my Muse pen tablet. Back padding and shoulder straps make this seem weightless when loaded down. Well worth the money.
