5.0 out of 5 stars The best wheelbarrow I've ever seen or used
I had to bite the bullet to pay for this premium-priced wheelbarrow, and convince my wife our old single-wheel model had to go. She was skeptical at first, but now that we've both used this one for a few weeks, WOW! What a huge difference the second wheel makes. And the construction of this one, compared to the two-wheeled Jackson we almost bought, is superb. We only...

3.0 out of 5 stars Yard and Garden Helpmate
Our new Brentwood heavy duty two wheel barrow is just what we needed as a helping hand in our yard and garden. The 6 cubic foot capicity holds much more then the two of us could carry at one time from one area to another. The two wheels help to balance the load and makes it easy for either of us to use it. Even though I have a handicap, I am able to use it for lighter...

5.0 out of 5 stars The best wheelbarrow I've ever seen or used, June 8, 2005
This review is from: Brentwood Industries ProBoss 6-Cubic-Foot Heavy Duty Wheelbarrow PW6D (Lawn & Patio)
We only had to spend about $25 more for this one. and it's worth every penny. I've filled it with 250-300 pounds of rocks, and had no problem on the steep side slope of our yard when hauling them to the back for dumping. The thick tray is sure to last much longer than the thinner ones I looked at when shopping around.

A great product. If you haul anything heavy, and want a wheelbarrow that seems like it might last a lifetime, this is the one you want.

5.0 out of 5 stars One SERIOUS Wheelbarrow!!, March 8, 2004

Moving heavy loads of sand, dirt, concrete, or bricks was always a painful chore with my lightweight single wheel barrow. But this double-wheel beauty makes those jobs so much easier. No tilting, loss-of-control dumped loads anymore. Heavy duty construction, and it was very easy to assemble. If you really need a heavy duty wheelbarrow, you can't go wrong with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars This sucker lasts a lifetime!, February 26, 2003

In the past I have used Jackson and Truetemper, now that I found Brentwood Wheelbarrows I will never try another brand ever! The thickness of the pan is so much heavier than what you see on the market these days. Also, if you compare the steel to what's on the market there is no competition at all. Basically, the old saying "You get what you pay for" speaks for itself. I paid a little more but this lasts forever!

Thanks Brentwood!

5.0 out of 5 stars Two "IS" better than One!, August 29, 2005
This review is from: Brentwood Industries ProBoss 6-Cubic-Foot Heavy Duty Wheelbarrow PW6D (Lawn & Patio)
I should have made this purchase years ago. I do a lot of yard work and carry a lot of cord wood from the back fence to the house. My 1/2 acre property is not really that hilly but it does have quite a few rolling spots and side hill areas. The difficulty of carrying heavy loads is doubled when you have to balance that load over slanted or knobby terrain. The two front wheels even make the load seem lighter but the best part is that the balancing act is gone. I am a lot less tired after a day's work with my new two wheeled barrow because I don't have the arm and back strain I used to have with my old single wheeled barrow. The balancing act is gone. So are the the spilt loads caused by uneven landscape. Now my wife can even help bring in the wood. Tell me that doesn't add to your decision to buy the Brentwood Industries Double Wheel Wheelbarrow.

Shopped at all of the big home improvement centers. They carry another brand-although a very popular 2 wheel unit-but the plastic bed does not have the thickness of the Brentwood. I wanted a construction type wheelbarrow and this one seems to have it all. The second wheel makes pushing heavy loads a bit easier and the overall quality of the unit appears to be exceptional. I use it for masonry projects and so far I am pleased with the purchase. Heavy duty handles and a much reinforced front end indicate that thought was put into this design. Again the old saying-"you get what you pay for" and when purchasing quality tools I stand by this -and the other brand is good, but the Brentwood is just one step up.

THIS WHEELBARROW WAS VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE. IT IS VERY STABLE DUE TO THE DOUBLE WHEEL DESIGN. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT DUE TO THE MATERIAL USED FOR THE CONTAINER. I CHECKED OTHER BRANDS AVAILABLE AT THE MAJOR HOME STORE WARE HOUSES, AND CHOOSE THIS ONE HANDS DOWN EVEN THROUGH IT WAS HIGHER PRICED. IF YOU INTEND TO USE THIS WHEELBARROW FOR HEAVY LOADS THIS IS THE ONE I RECOMMEND.I HAVE PURCHASED THE OTHER CHEAPER BRANDS AND STYLES IN THE PAST AND THEY JUST DID NOT HOLD UP.

5.0 out of 5 stars Industrial Grade Material Relocator, August 20, 2003

The best and lightest wheelbarrow on the market until someone invents one with a titanium tub. As a Southeast Texas homebuilder this tool gets tons of abuse but still keeps haulin it. Assembly was simple and straight forward and was completed 20 minutes after the jealous UPS guy left. (I was glad when he left too. I wasn't sure I liked the way he was eyeing my new barrow).

5.0 out of 5 stars New style for a wheelbarrow, October 27, 2007

The product itself is amazing. Directions for assembly need help (difficult to follow the drawings as to what to put where) and Amazon shipped the wrong top part. Toll-free Company support helped get things assembled correctly without returning item. I found I could actually push heavier loads over rough terrain since use of two wheels spread out the load weight. Not very good for small areas and for turning quickly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product overall - A few minor flaws, June 23, 2007

I have never seen a more sturdy wheelbarrow, and am glad I bought it. 100% Happy. However, the assembly instructions are poor, the words have half the instructions and the picture has the other half. A good set of instructions has 100% in the words and the picture reiterates the words. Not here, you are left guessing and reassembeling after mistakes.
Also, the grease zirts on the tire bearings are installed improperly, they are designed to be installed on a flat surface, yet they drilled out the spot for them on a 45 degree angle to make them easier to access. This leaves them misinstalled with half their threads exposed. One fell out during initial servicing and I re tapped the hole straight.
I am, as I stated, very satisfied. It was just more work to get there then I had anticipated.

The Brentwood 6 Cube Double-Wheel Wheelbarrow is awesome! It has a big, sturdy, deep pan, two large flat free air tires and stands up to heavy duty use. I'll be able to cut with my Black & Decker Alligator Chain Saw and easily haul the wood with this wheelbarrow. The 60" solid North American Hardwood handles, structural steel parts, ball bearing wheels and zerk fittings, which provide no metal on metal, all combine to make one well balanced construction quality wheelbarrow.
Two wheels means no more wobbling loads making it easier on my back, arms and legs. Dumping the load is better than any single wheel one I've ever used. The front rests on a steel braket in front of the wheels for added stability. I put it together in well under an hour. The difference is like night and day and well worth the extra do-re-mi. ~ The Boss
