One thing that I've noticed about digital photographers is that many of them seldom print. Brett Weston was a master printer, a fact that makes his images so unique. Deep resonating blacks and delicate highlights. There is no comparison between the photographs in this book with images of the same on line. That been said, this book is quite a conversation piece. The images are printed on very high quality paper and are absolutely astounding.

Masterful reproductions of Brett's finest work. Unlike the overproduced Ansel Adams... Brett's portfolios were truly limited. He burned all his negatives shortly before his death. He never needed to hype his photographs like the aforementioned photographer; he just showed them. The first son of Edward Weston he was the true heir to Edward's great eye.
