Book Description

October 30, 2003

Breves Penumbras is an exploration of abstract existential terrain in the medium of a unique lyrical Spanish. This book is an exploration of the depth and potential of the human imagination, foraging at the boundaries of experience for an often voiceless center.

Divided into six chapters, the book is an artist's rendering of the inner life of a traveler, a teacher, a friend, a solitary being confronted with the problem of a tireless and unending world of intentionality and sentiment. Through Breves Penumbras, the poet seeks to reveal the extent to which the reality lived is the reality thought or felt, and how those complicated phenomena learn to express themselves through one's use of language.
