Breville Bamboo Cutting Board and Serving Tray for Full Smart Oven

This is a high quality item manufactured specifically to sit on top of the Breville Smart Oven. It is a little smaller than the top of the oven. It is designed to be offset from the front edge of the oven (to avoid heat damage when opening door)and can be used when the oven is on. I purchased mine directly from Breville and ended up paying considerably more than what Amazon is charging. This is a great accessory but is somewhat too small to use as a cutting board.Breville Smart Oven Cutting Board and Serving Tray BOV800CB

I find this item to be almost essential for my new Breville 800XL oven. I like to keep the pizza pan and broiling rack on top of the oven for convenience but don't wont to scuff up the beautiful brushed stainless finish of the oven. The bamboo wood is extremely well-finished, actually nearly perfect. I am almost reluctant to use it as a cutting board as to not deface it!

The feet (plastic with silicone) are shaped such that they fit PERFECTLY into the grooves on the oven top so it would not slide around. The feet also raise the board slightly above the oven top for proper ventilation. Because of this, simply laying a generic cutting board on top as a substitute would not work. Furthermore, if you were to try and stick on some makeshift feet to a generic cutting board, the feet would have to be made of silicone (plastic and rubber would melt). Not sure where you would even find silicone feet. In this case, you might as well buy the Breville board and save yourself the trouble of making one yourself.

This is an excellent addition to the Breville Smart Oven. It fits very nicely to the top of the oven and makes it look nicer. It allows for things that might be damaged by the heat (plastic) to be placed on top of the oven without worry. This is particularly helpful if one has minimal space and needs to be able to use this space to put heat-sensitive items. It is high quality.

Fits top of my Breville oven great. I like to keep my digital kitchen timer on top but was worried about the heat build up. But no more.

I use cutting boards all the time, and they've always eaten up space on my countertop. This cutting board is so handy because it slides away inconspicuously on top of the Breville toaster oven when it's not in use. It is a good size to work with, it is attractive, it has a good hard surface on which to cut, and I really like the rubber feet that keep it from sliding. Overall, a great purchase!

As a serious cabinetmaker/woodworker (hobby) I can tell you that this Breville cutting board is not only attractive but exceptionally well made. Anyone who works with wood knows that bamboo is an extremely hard tough "wood" and makes a very good material for a cutting board. This board/serving tray fits perfectly into the recessed surface area on top of the Breville oven and is a very functional and beautiful accessory to use with your Breville oven.

What a fabulous addition to my Smart Oven! It was so nice to reclaim the space on top of my Breville Smart Oven Breville BOV800XL The Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ and also to be able to stow my stoneware bar pan within easy reach. While I don't use this as a cutting board - since I have other bamboo cutting boards and want to keep the surface flawless - it is a great-looking and nice-sized trivet for protecting the table from hot dishes. The silicon feet are an important part of this cutting board, as they can take the heat of the top of the oven and also sit stable on the table. I was concerned at first that I would loose the ability to warm plates on the Smart Oven, but the bamboo cutting board just helps the plates warm more evenly without overly hot bottoms. I bought one of these for my mom and my son, who each have a Smart Oven, too, and they love theirs as well. Breville does it again!

This fits nicely on the top of the oven, is useable and allows even flammable things, paper and such, to be put on top of the oven, even when it is on. It's a nice addition.

This product is made from Bamboo. Great grainy look. Fits and looks perfectly to compliment and be of use for an excellent addition to the Smart Oven.

Great addition to your kitchen appliances, saves time and the use of a full oven especially going into the summer air conditioning months.
It can get hot on the outside and it does not have handles on the sides so once it is in operation you should not attempt to move it or touch it until it is cooled.
I would reccomend it regardless of the above mentioned exceptions.
