A gorgeous piece of workmanship and powerful to boot, the Breville Classic Blend Master makes blending sauces, smoothies, drinks, and soups a pleasurable snap. The unit starts with an incredibly sturdy base combining a 580-watt commercial-strength motor and gleaming metal die-cast housing. The 6-way blade system, patented by Breville, is smartly engineered to work with the upward vortex of the pitcher for optimal mixing and consistency. Made from sturdy thick glass with a broad glass handle, the pitcher holds 48 ounces (1.4 liters) and is clearly marked with both metric and imperial measurements. One of the best parts of Breville’s construction is the way the pitcher attaches without screwing on--just nestle it into four slots in the base, and it’s ready to go. A tight-fitting lid prevents splashes, while the removable inner lid allows for mid-blending additions. Leak-proof and handsome, the pitcher’s rubber-rimmed chrome base adds easy stability and makes it suitable for the table. Power settings include three distinct levels--with one specifically designed for ice--and a pulsing function. Perhaps on future versions, the power switch will be upgraded to metal, but its current plastic structure is sturdy enough. Simple and quiet,

Took a chance on this Breville blender. Never heard of the brand before but liked the simple design, no fancy electronic keypad, big pitcher size. What I like best about this blender is it is relatively quiet--the noise it makes is a lower pitched noise than that of Oster, Waring, Hamilton and you don't have to leave the room to operate it in order to save your hearing. Sturdy and stable, easy to operate, easy to clean, quality product. We've tried SEVERAL blenders and this one is a good one especially at this price.

I've been using this blender for a few weeks now. It is a solid and steady performer. It is a large blender, which I like because I like to make smoothies for my family without having to go through the process twice. The design is great - no twist lock - just lift the jar once you are done blending. The base is heavy and stable and the controls are very easy to use - no pondering over a multitude of options that really aren't very different from each other. The chrome looks great in the kitchen too. The only thing I wish this blender had is a retractable cord but it DOES have a unique design for the plug (I'm always hesitant to pull plugs out of sockets for some reason). I'm very satisfied with this blender. Good product for the price!

Big motor, big pitcher, and nice design. Looks like it's come straight from a 50's diner - shiny and curvy. This thing crushes ice and nuts in seconds and brightens up the kitchen. Very impressed.
