I love the Muffin Magic (MM)--muffins turn out great every time, even using whole wheat flour and bran. When I cook muffins like that in the oven, they tend to rise into a nice shape, but fall as they cool. Not so with the MM! I make up muffin mix ahead of time (you can use boxed muffin mix, your favorite muffin recipe, or recipes from the owner's manual), and in the process found out something really great--muffins made in the MM from refrigerated batter are lighter and rounder than those made with fresh batter! When making muffins, it takes about 3 minutes for the MM to heat and 11 minutes to cook the muffins. The MM wipes clean with a damp paper towel. It is small enough to store easily in a kitchen cabinet. It saves energy and prevents the kitchen from overheating in the summer from the oven. It makes a great gift.

I did have one problem with my purchase: The box containing my MM did not include an owner's manual. Amazon did not have one to spare and suggested contacting the manufacturer, Breville. Unfortunately, the e-mail for them Amazon had did not work, there was no contact information on the MM box, and I had to track their website using Google. After all that, Breville never answered my e-mails. Ultimately, Amazon sent me another MM, I extracted the manual and sent the excess MM back. To prevent that happening to anyone else, here is all you need to know to use the MM:
--Wipe it out with a damp paper towel before using it the first time.
--Put something under it (I use a wooden cutting board) to protect kitchen surfaces.
--There is no on/off switch, so *never* leave it plugged in unless you are using it.
--When you are ready to use it, plug it in and set a timer for 3 minutes. By this time the green light will have come on, which means it is hot enough to bake the muffins.
--Even though the MM is coated with Teflon, I always spray the muffin cups with a non-stick spray like Pam before filling the three muffin cups to the top with muffin batter. This is about 1/4 cup, and a standard ice-cream dipper works well for putting the right amount of batter in. Be careful because the MM's surfaces are hot!
--Set a kitchen timer for 11 minutes. Note: just as for a regular oven, cooking with honey or any other liquid sweetener means the muffins will cook faster, so with those recipes, I set the timer for 8 minutes and 20-30 seconds. When the timer goes off, open up the MM and insert a toothpick into one of the muffins to make sure they are done enough to suit you. (You will know after the first usage exactly how long it takes to cook the muffins to suit you.)
--Unplug the MM and wait a few minutes before taking the muffins out to lessen the chance of burning yourself. If you are cooking more than one batch at a time, removing the muffins is a bit tricky because they are very, very hot--I recommend for extra safety doing one batch at a time. When you are removing the muffins, if you have let them cool completely, you can just turn the machine over and dump them out. Otherwise, if you want to eat them while still pretty hot, take a butter knife and gently ease it between the muffin and the side of the MM cup to raise up the muffin so you can get hold of it to lift it out--be very careful to not scratch the Teflon surface.
--Let the unplugged MM cool completely before wiping it out with a damp paper towel.

I hate stuff sitting around the kitchen so tend to shy away from all the electric stuff. But...This caught my eye because I love cornbread but hate to fire up the oven just for one person.

This is wonderful! really bakes wonderfully. I find 9 minutes rather than 12 minutes as the book says.

Fill 3/4 full as you would regular baking tin, bake and in 9 minutes enjoy. One Betty Crocker cornbread (6 muffin size) make 4 oversized muffins in this unit.

I'm wondering if you could make individual kisch in this? What do you think? I'm going to try. Tart shells? from cookie dough? I can see endless possibilities to try without doing harm to the unit.

Get one if you are single. Or even for two peopleA.

Muffin Magic is a great product. It is easy and fun to use. The 3 years old who assisted me in using the Muffin Magic for the first time thought "It's awesome!" I get moist, great tasting muffins in around 20 minutes of baking time. I use an olive oil spray, before putting in my muffin mixture.

I was disappointed in the recipe book as the recipes are not for 3 muffins, but much more. Scale down the recipes. The recipe book expected self rising flour. Go on the internet for a recipe or used your own, forget the recipe book that comes with the Muffin Magic.

Every muffin I've made in this cute little machine has been perfection! This little sweetheart heats quickly and has evenly/throughly cooked every muffin or cupcake so far! 3 things I've noticed: 1- the non-stick coating is extra thick for longevity and nothing has ever "stuck"! 2- If you overfill a bit, the clearance is excellent and you end up with a big mushroom muffin. 3- The housing and general construction is heavy, precise and extra well-made. Also, the entire unit is so tightly-made with a thicker exterior finish that I've found it very easy to clean. We've used ours dozens and dozens of times and it still looks like new. I've never really heard much about the company that manufactured this muffin maker, but it's definitely led to me to look up their other products on Amazon and they'll always be my first choice when I shop.

I *just* got my Muffin Magic this evening and I couldn't wait to try it out. The reviews had been very positive, so I was looking forward to trying it out.

All I had to do was make the mix, preheat the Muffin Magic and drop the mix in. The recipe book will tell you how about how long you need to bake your muffins for; a general rule of thumb is 11-13 minutes for regular muffins, and 13-16 minutes for muffins with fruits in them. Altogether, the mixing, preheating and baking process took a total of only 20 minutes!!!

The muffin recipes are easy to make from scratch with ingredients found at home, or any commercial baking mix can be used. I used my own recipe and baked some healthy muffins with wheat flour, Splenda, pineapples, and some coconut milk for a tropical flavor. Instead of butter or oil, I used applesauce. The result? A deliciously moist, fluffy, flavorful, and HEALTHY muffin that took just a few minutes to make. I can't imagine ever eating a greasy, too-sweet store-bought muffin loaded with preservatives again.

I would highly recommend this to anyone, no matter what your cooking level is. It's a fun kitchen toy that will help you make healthy and delicious muffins the easy way. If you like muffins, you will LOVE the Muffin Magic.

I plan to try other recipes in the Muffin Magic, such as puff pastry, quiche and biscuits. I'll let you know what happens!

While the three muffins this maker allows you to produce in 12 minutes aren't as large as I might have expected, the simplicity and ease along with the great flavor makes this a handy gadget to have in the kitchen. If you enjoy fresh, tasty and quick muffins, this appliance is for you.

This works great, bakes quickly and evenly. Really nice for a quick breakfast or snack. Very easy to use.

I've had the Muffin Magic for about a week now and I can say that it gets used just about every single day. Although there are plenty of recipes in the included booklet, I chose to use the ready made, just add water, blueberry muffin mix that sells for less than a dollar a packet on Amazon.

The package says that it makes 6 muffins, but you'll find out quickly enough that it makes exactly 3 muffins in the muffin magic.

My routine is:
1. Plug in the Muffin Magic
2. Mix the muffin batter
3. Fill each muffin hole pretty much to the top
4. Set timer for 14 minutes
5. Take a shower
6. Unplug Muffin Magic
7. Take muffins out using a pair of wooden chopsticks that I poke into the muffin. It's much easier then trying to use a butter knife of spatula to flip the muffin out. Also, the device is quite hot, so I wouldn't suggest trying to flip it upside down unless you want to burn yourself.
8. Eat all the muffins before anyone else wakes up.
9. Moisten a paper towel and wipe the cooking surface.
10. All done!

If I can offer advice, make sure you're using a LIQUID measuring cup to measure your liquids. If you use a dry goods measuring cup, you may end up with gooey undercooked muffin. A liquid measuring cup is usually made of glass and has red marks showing you the quantity of liquid. The dry good measuring cups are usually made of plastic and come in various sizes.

I thought i would be just adding to my huge Kitchen gadget collection by buying this..But i was surprised at the performance of this.

Makes really nice muffins in just 10 mins! My husband was so surprised when he saw them. and nothing could be more easier to do.Just remember to brush some oil on the base and you would get soft and nice muffins.4stars for this product because they are not as fluffy as store bought ones but compare pretty close and are not to mention very inexpensive!

UPDATE:
I have used this gadget several times and observed it does not cook heavy type of muffins with fruit, or other fillings well.It does brown the outside of the muffins more and keeps the inside raw .This is really good and quick if you cook muffins from simple mixes but the more exotic types would cook better in the oven......

I LOVE THIS MACHINE! My husband and I can each have a fresh hot muffin for breakfast and then one to go! I tried the low-fat Blueberry Orange recipe..scrumptious! I've used Jiffy cornbread mix and Krusteaz with perfect results. Great compact design and storage options...neat cord! I just ordered another one as a gift. Keep up the good work!
