5.0 out of 5 stars I love it!!
I have had the Brew Express for over a year and I think it's FANTASTIC!! I use a $39 GE water filter and it works great. Great cup of Joe and a great product.

1.0 out of 5 stars waste of money
First unit had to have parts replaced within one year. The flow control valve failed and ruined my new wood kitchen floor. Second unit failed after 26 months, making the two year warranty void. 1.0 out of 5 stars waste of money, August 9, 2010
This review is from: Brew Express Self-Filling Built In Coffee Maker
First unit had to have parts replaced within one year. The flow control valve failed and ruined my new wood kitchen floor. Second unit failed after 26 months, making the two year warranty void. The heating element failed and the flow control valve failed. Customer service was good up until the warranty was technically over (warranty begins with your original purchase date), but lack of any help after all my trouble has left me with disappointed. Their only response was that I could buy a replacement unit for another $250. This seems like a lot of money for a unit that has not proven to last more than a couple of years. I will no longer be recommending this unit to my clients.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Coffee Pot, April 18, 2009

I have had this coffee pot for over 2 years. I LOVE this pot. it takes up no counter space and I don't have to lug water. I do not have a water filter in my plumbing system. I had the pot for about 6 months and dropped the pot and broke off a piece of the plastic rim. I contacted Lance Larkin and they sent me a new pot for free. What service!
The only downfall is the setting that makes a cup. The amount is too small to fill a mug. But other than that I highly recommend this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed, September 25, 2008

I was so excited about getting this for my new house. Used it once and it started leaking all over the counter. I called Lance Larkin only to be told the plumbers should have installed a water filter when the coffee pot was installed. I had not been told that by the seller, or the plumber, I just bought the coffee pot and let my plumber install it. Long story short, I had to buy a $400 water filter - have it installed - to get the $450 coffeemaker to work. Had to send the coffee maker back to Lance Larkin for warranty service in the meantime. The $450 coffeemaker cost me almost $1,000 by the time I paid for the coffeemaker, filter, shipping, tax, installation, etc. I could have bought a much more expensive cappicino machine for that price. Great idea for a coffeemaker, but be warned that you will have to buy an expensive water filter along with this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best coffee maker EVER, December 12, 2008
This review is from: Brew Express Self-Filling Built In Coffee Maker
I wanted a built-in coffee maker but didn't want to spend $1500. I read about the Lance Larkin BE-112 with its incredible reviews and stylish looks. I decided to give it a try and WOW am I glad I did. I can't imagine that there is a better built-in coffee maker - a great cup every time and ready in minutes. Best yet, no hauling water around the kitchen - just load the coffee and GO. It takes almost no space which is also a big plus. I would highly recommend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sure it looks good BUT..., May 24, 2009

While it looks very nice and is easy to use, after about 6 weeks of use our coffee pot has had multiple malfunctions. The water continuously flows so we have to shut it off at the valve to keep it from over flowing, it does not stay hot for long and it only brews 1/4 - 1/2 pot at a time no matter what setting it is on. The company was quick to send us replacement parts to try to fix the problems but it has been unsuccessful. They have told us we could send it in and they will look at it but we will have to pay to have it repaired. Basically, they told us that it is more than likely caused from our hard water and so they will not warranty it. Their customer service guy even said that they have seen them malfunction in less time than that with $5000 filters. This tells me a great deal about the product and it came straight from thsir own customer service. After several agruments with excuse after excuse as to why our pot only lasted 6 weeks, they DID offer to sell us a new one for only $150. Hmmm...I JUST spent $400 on one that lasted me all of 6 weeks...I think I'll invest in another Bunn. Not only does it brew FABULOUS coffee but they are reliable, they are not NEARLY as sensitive to the hard water, AND they stand behind their product 100%. We pulled out our old reliable Bunn that we have had for about 8 years to use while we waited for parts for our Brew Express and the flavor of the coffee is by far better with the Bunn. We hadn't realized just how bad the coffee tasted before. Yep, that settles it, my final word is...BUY A BUNN. It will be money well spent.

1.0 out of 5 stars LANCE LARKIN DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS., September 14, 2010
This review is from: Brew Express Self-Filling Built In Coffee Maker
Just like everyone else, I was excited about the built in coffee pot. The BE-112. Had it professionally installed. Had a reverse osmosis water system put in.

It worked good for a year and then the water didn't heat and I smelled that "electric smell." I plugged in a 25 buck Black & Decker coffee pot into the Brew Express. Well, I got busy and it's been that way for over a year. I decided I needed to get it going and called the factory. They no longer build that unit and NO LONGER HAVE PARTS FOR IT. It seems they changed factories in CHINA. They don't even build the product in house! They offered to sell me a new unit at the same price as Amazon.

I guess I'll take it apart and see if I can install the heating element out of the Black & Decker unit in it. WHAT A POS!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, June 4, 2009

I almost choked when my wife decided she wanted an expensive built in coffee maker. I have to tell you though, she was right on the money with this decision. Simple to install, easy to program, no leaks, no noises, keeps coffee hot for 3 1/2 hours with out having to have a warmer plate continuously on. I broke the water dispenser head while cleaning the unit, called customer service and was sent a replacement at no charge.

It appears that the persons that are not happy with the unit have had hard water or installation issues, things that are addressed in the installation instructions.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, June 17, 2009
This review is from: Brew Express Self-Filling Built In Coffee Maker
I have had this coffee system for 2 years and never had a problem with it, I love it so much I am going to purchase one for my RV. We make a lot of coffee, approx 2-3 pots per day and that is when we are not entertaining. During a party, I make several pots decaf and regular and transfer them into carafes. The only thing that bothers me is that the coffee stays hot for only 1/2 hour to 45 minutes then is is just warm. However I would never go back to a regular pot after having a built in.
