It seems sturdy and well made and the numbers are easy to read.

Well it's got a good probe, I brew in buckets and it's got a nice clip on it to clip on the side of the bucket.
Hey now!
Fast reading, as fast as you expect a dial thermometer and easy to read.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. the dial is big enough for an old guy like me (with poor close up vision) to read and the extra long probe goes almost to the bottom of my brew kettle and still stays clipped to the side of the pot. Shipping was done in a reasonable amount of time. All in all, nothing to complain about. I'm off to start another IPA.

Does what it is supposed to. I use this for homebrewing, and it is very responsive. The clip on the body is useful, and the long stem is ideal for larger batches.

Nothing wrong with the thermometer itself but it is not calibrated and goes out of calibration easily. Do yourself a favor and buy a digital one that can be calibrated in a bowl of ice water at 32 degrees. You will never use an analog type one again.

I needed to get away from my glass thermometer when brewing and this thermometer is perfect for my system. I put it in boiling water to calibrate and it read 210 on the nose (I'm at a bit of elevation, so the boiling point is lower). It seems sturdy and well made and the numbers are easy to read.

I use this for brewing. This is great because it it requires no batterries, is long enough to reach the liquid at any level, and has the full range of temperatures that I need.

as i assemble my homebrew rig, i have come to realize that almost everything i've purchased from "brewcraft" is of subpar quality (30L fermenting pail w/ spigot and PLASTIC airlocks that claimed to be "glass")... i won't be buying anything from them again.

haven't tested it for accuracy yet, but this thermometer seems like it will do the job. however, as a chef who has spent 25+ years in professional kitchens, i would NEVER have bought this thermometer if i'd been able to examine it, first... i take excellent care of my equipment, so i'm sure i'll get some use out of it, but i like to buy hardware that will last a lifetime. i will be shocked if this doesn't break in the first year of use. construction & materials are very cheap. this is a low end thermometer you'd never find in a serious kitchen. i'll replace it with a much more heavy duty unit, when it eventually breaks.

Works great, I think mine is miscalibrated by about 5 degrees to high. Its also NOT water proof so don't drop it on accident.
