This book is an easy read for anyone wanting to get into homebrewing beer.
I've been doing it for several years, so I didn't get anything from the book.
It's for beginners.

The book does a good job explaining the process.

Like many reviewers have said, this is great for a very light overview of brewing. It will not tell you exactly how to create great beer or go into much detail about the chemistry of how great beer is made. I can't complain too much as I got this for free for an Amazon daily deal promotion, but I haven't used it to help with my home brews. However, it does help a novice understand the basic simplicity of home brewing and may help someone who hasn't done it before to jump in. It is true - if you can follow the instructions to make blue box mac n cheese, you can brew beer.

"Brewing" with extract is no more brewing that heating a TV diner is cooking. About a 15min read and definately recommended for the first timer. You can get similar instructions from the homebrew supply store.
