Hello, I am a proud owner of this little herd. I think these toys are very fun and educational because you can care for them , walk,trot,canter(slope) and even gallop them! I don't think these toys deserved 5 stares on durablity because one of my horses tail chiped. These are also very fun to play with if you have more StableMates to add to this herd! Because of how my horse chipped (and my freinds horses leg broke) I would'nt recamend giving these horses to cildren under 3 (the leg or any part of the horses body could break and be swallowed) or anyone who might play ruffly with there toys. These horses make great little aditions to any breyer collection.

I tell you what. I was a 70's child. I was also and still am horse crazy! I had many Breyer horses, and I mean over 100. I would find a quiet corner of the yard or house and play with these models for hours. Yes, the material quality has changed. Not as good to me. The quality in detail is still great. I highly reccommend anything Breyer. When I was younger, my girlfriend and I wrote the company, and they responded. Good customer service! These horses encouraged me to use my imagination, creativity, and story telling skills. My 3 and 10 year old daughters play with their horses. My best memories in childhood were playing with these horses, outside or in. We made our own equiptment before the company made theirs. The Breyer horses are good collectibles and very fun toys if you are a horse lover. They do nothing, so all is up to the imagination, which is more educational than you think. Durability is doubtful with anyone under 3 without adult supervision. The smaller horses legs can break. I never had a horse break or color change due to bath time, mud play, or other outside games, but I was older. I like the Breyer models so much I am trying to "recollect" all the ones I used to have.

Breyer Stablemates are fun. They are littler than all the other Breyers and I have two. The two I have are pretty and I like making tack for them. They look really cool and you can make magnets and ornaments out of them. Look at the Breyer website to see how. They are more fragile because they are smallir but I love them;

While their small size makes them much more fragile than their larger cousins, their beautiful hand-painted details and lively poses make them a wonderful gift. They also make great party favors and, with the addition of a bit of ribbon, they make wonderful Christmas ornaments. (Imagine the face of your little girl when she sees her very own herd racing around the Christmas tree!)

They also make a great addition to the Breyer Stablemates Little Red Stable Set.

This is a really good solid set with really pretty pony's.Personally I had a little trouble with standing up the grey thouroughbred mare,also, breyer reuses their molds so now I have many more than one mold in my herd.

The Breyer Horses Stablemates Four-piece Gift Pack is really fun, cute, and amazing to play for me. I never get bored of them. I like playing with them as well as my other Breyer stablemates. I wouldn't suggest these toys for babies. They can easily bang them on the floor and break them. Soon they will put the broken breyer horse in their mouths and might swallow them. Still horse and pony lovers like me can fall in love with these cute toys.

This Stablemates set is cute this set is soo cute it is educational because, it shows that all horses have diffrent colors and tempers the Morgan shows love and gentleness and the Paint shows Fiery and Spirit and the Saddlebred shows spirit and love so does the other bay horse, I rate these set not so strong because these Stablemates break like toothpicks and are way easier to break than Traditional horses are, but besides that these set will look really fun to play with on carpet or wooden floor genltly, if you drop them the can take a good amount of dropping.

I have a stable, and it was sooo fun to play with! I recomend it to kids who have imagination/love horses.

This isn't a toy for rough play. They are supposed to be collected mostly, anyway. However, if you do play with them play wiht them gently. They break. So don't be upset if you play wiht them roughly and they break becuase that's wat happens.
