From the Manufacturer

Classics Horse of the Year, First in a collectable series! This limited edition Morab is exclusively available in 2013. The Morab breed was developed by crossing the Arabian and Morgan breeds. The name "Morab" is a combination of these breeds' names! Through generations of breeding, the best features of the parent breeds were combined. The Morab has the strong bone and hooves of the Morgan, and the stamina and flash of the Arabian! These traits created a beautiful horse to behold, and to ride! Morabs are refined and versatile horses that can do everything from ranch work to driving.

Customer Reviews

Very nice -- realistic pose, great finish, nicely detailed.

I have never seen Breyer do their Classics Horses with this much detailing as a Traditional Horse, but, I love it!!!
Palimino
The horse is basically a nice shade of grey, but black shading seem to have been mostly sprayed on willy-nilly.

I am currently 14 years old, and I have been collecting/showing Breyer Model Horses since the age of two. I have 70 Classics (some are even my mother's from when she was a little girl in the 1940s-1950s) and only 30 Traditionals. My collection is mainly based on my three favorite horse breeds: Arabians, Mustangs, and Stock Horses. Mariah is absolutely the most beautiful and detailed Breyer Classics Series horse that I have ever seen!! I bought her because she is half Arabian, but, I have no problem with Morgan Horses. She's just gorgeous!! I can't stop staring at her on my model horse shelf. Mariah is a beautiful silvery gray with subtle dapples, with dark grey points, and a semi-colored mane and tail, which is a gorgeous silvery grey and white. Her face is highly expressive and detailed to the maximum level. I have never seen Breyer do their Classics Horses with this much detailing as a Traditional Horse, but, I love it!!! Breyer is getting better and better at making horses. I highly recommend this Morab :)

The only thing I have to mention is that, all Breyer Horses are labeled as Model Horses, and are not one of those cheap, Barbie Princess or Bratz Horses that you see today. They are actually hand-sculpted, airbrushed, etched, pastelled, and made of molding and part-resin material. So, if you are looking for a child's toy, this is not the way to go. If you give this to a 5 or 8-year-old, for example, of course it is going to get scratches, rubs, splits, smudges, and eventually break. Even on the Breyer Model Horse boxes, look on the very, very bottom, and in small, fine print, it tells you the answer "For ages 11 and up.

I have Breyers from the 1980s, now shopping for my nieces. Mariah caught my eye in the store immediately. Beautifully detailed. The two they had in the store both look just like the picture to my eyes. I don't say that to be contentious to other reviewers, but both the ones in the store really did look like the pictures. The greying/darker highlights looks very natural, just as a real horse would grey out, leaving darker legs, mane/tail, etc. I chose the one with slightly darker accents for my niece.

The finish looks richer and more detailed than in a standard Breyer, so I can see why this is a limited-edition collectible. Very nice -- realistic pose, great finish, nicely detailed. Very happy to give this as a gift.

Mariah is gorgeous! Great job, Breyer!

This is a very nice model. I have seen many different versions and I was lucky to get a nicely shaded one.

I love this breyer. I collect breyer horses and this is one of my favorites. It was so cheap and is a very nice horse. I recommend this breyer horse to everyone who dose not have it.

I love Breyers and this horse is no exception. My only complaint is the drips of gray paint in the black leg markings.

I bought this for a friend who collects the Breyer horses. She absolutely loved it! She had passed up the opportunity to purchase it sooner due to funds, etc.

Although I was disappointed in the "look" of this Breyer, my grand daughter was not. She carried it with her everywhere. The photo is a bit misleading - it's much prettier in the photo than in actuality.
