I AM A HORSE RACING AND BREYER FREAK! I HAVE ABOUT 135 MODEL HORSES AND 4 OF THEM ARE FAMOUS THOROUGHBERD RACERS-CIGAR, SECRETARIET, NATIVE DIVER, AND MAN O WAR. BUT CIGAR IS STILL MY FAVORITE RACER! CIGAR HAS NEVER BROKEN A LEG, EAR, OR ANYTHING, THIS TOY IS VERY DURABLE. CIGAR IS ALSO A VERY EDUCATIONAL TOY. IN THE BOX THAT CIGAR COMES IN IT HAS A LITTLE SUMMARY THAT TELLS YOU ABOUT CIGAR'S RACING RECORD AND CAREER. CIGAR IS A WONDERFUL TOY!

Breyer's Cigar mold is, in my opinion, one of it's best Thoroughbred/ racing models. Lonesome Glory is probably my most favorite, and the Smarty mold is a little too "boxy" for me. He looks more like a Quarter Horse racer than a Thoroughbred. Cigar has amazing details as far as markings and shading are concerned. This model is perfect for live or photo showing as well. I would recommend it for any young horse lover, esp. racing fans! The box comes with some great info on Cigar, so it is also an educational item. Breyers are NOT for play however. For this reason, I wouldn't consider it too durable. Once a model sustains some scratches and chips, it's value drops significantly. I really do love Cigar. He's also been very helpful in improving my artistic skills, as I can see his muscles and use him as a base to draw off of. Great model!

This toy is fun and education becuase it is a horse that also has a great amount of history behind him. So you can not only play with him but research him as well.

I think that this model captures the beauty of a running horse. My model is extremely durable, and has never broken any legs or ears, or never even gotten scratched. There is a two paragraph summary of the real Cigar's racing career inside the box. I definitely recommend this model!

Wow! What a beautiful model horse! Cigar's lovely brown coat and elegant build make him a favorite among Breyer fanatics like me. Just like all Breyer models, Cigar is strong, durable, and tons of fun! This horse can also serve as an educational toy, for you can learn about the fabulous world of horse racing with a little help from the back of the box. Buy this model today, because just like the real Cigar, he's going fast!

The horses that look exactly like this horse are Barbaro and Affirmed. They have the same shape, just different colors. My Barbaro had it tail, both ears and it's front right leg busted off. He has tons of scratches on him too

Heylo, I own several varities of breyer horses already. Cigar though, is by far my favorite horse made by breyer. I love the way Breyer has sculpted the strong grooves of muscle deep within the horse. Cigar's hoofs seem to fly through the air as if this model is truly still running a grand race. Makes a great conversational piece. Cigar sits upon my window sill and often strikes interest among house guests. I give this horse 7 stars!! Probably a great time to go get Cigar sometime or another. For they may retire it soon. Would be a shame if no one else got to share their own part of Cigar's beauty. Enjoy! :0)
