5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Draft
This is a beautiful Breyer, the perfect Christmas gift for my daughter. Each Christmas, for the past 23 years, she has received a Breyer from her dad and I. She is especially fond of draft horses and draft crosses. When we saw O'Leary listed at such a good price, we just couldn't pass him by.

1.0 out of 5 stars It was damaged. Was suppose to be exchanged but Customer service screwed up and didn't care when I called them
Customer service needs to listen to their customers and do things correctly the first time. It took me 2 calls to get the return mailing label properly emailed to me. This is not satsifactory.
The horse arrived damaged and all I wanted to do was exchange it for a non damaged horse. That didn't happen as customer service screwed things up. They refunded my money...

5.0 out of 5 stars love the horse, December 12, 2010

I bought this horse for my daughter last year. I have collected Breyer horses since I was little. This model is beautiful and very detailed. The paint is gorgeous, the dappling is realistic and has so much depth to it. The horse's face is so sweet I still love to stop and look at him when I'm in her room. It's also nice because the horse doesn't have a stand or anything, so it can be played with as well. He's very solid.

We also saw the real horse that this model is based on at Breyerfest in 2010. He has since been put to sleep because of health issues. It makes me love this model even more.

This is probably one of my favorite Breyer horses. The coloring is beautiful and very realistic, a light dappled grey with striped hooves and a really cute blaze with a pink nose. One really cool thing about these is that since they are all hand painted, each horse is a bit different, with some being lighter or darker or with more or fewer dapples.

This horse is larger than most other Breyers and is approximately 14 inches long from nose to tail and 9 inches tail from hoof to ear tip. It should stand up well to normal play. The plastic that these are made of is quite durable, and this model's legs are significantly thicker than a lot of Breyer horses, but the legs, tail, and especially the thin ears are prone to breaking off during really rough play. The paint is a bit less durable and may get rubbed off in spots if the horse is played with a lot.

All in all I think that this horse is a great value for someone who is either a Breyer collector or someone who just really loves horses.

This breyer is so big that it takes up quite a bit of shelf space, but I love it! It is a gorgeous white with grey dappling, and is so realistic compared to some of my other horses. I also think that the price is great for what you get. I have horses on my shelf that are half the size and nearly double the price! This horse has really gotten me interested in draft breyers, and I think I will get Kong next.

It's been quite a while since I got this one too... goodness I'm behind. O'Leary's Irish Diamond is an excellent model. He is a beautiful snowy-grey with delicate dapples, striped (HUGE!) hooves, and a very gentle face. He's wonderfully detailed and has become one of my personal favorites.

I must say that he is biiiig, and most of Breyer's tack won't fit him without customization, so he isn't exactly tack friendly. Anyway, he is absolutely stunning.

He's a wonderful representation of the real horse, which is really a great memoir to the real Irish Diamond.

Full discloser: I got this as a Christmas gift.

I've been collecting Breyers for almost 20 years, and this guy has easily become one of my favorites in the few days I've had him. The paint job is wonderful, the mold is very nice--especially the sweet, expressive face. It's a wonderful tribute to the real horse.

They refunded my money instead, but it took a few weeks to get it back. I will not order from them again due to this bad experience. I will take my business else where since they don't seem to care they screwed up even after I called them and let them know it was not being handled properly. Proceed with caution on buying.
