5.0 out of 5 stars Breyer's most beautiful unicorn ever!
I've been collecting Breyers for over twelve years. I have the Stablemates unicorn, and both the limited edition unicorns (same mold except one is black and one is white), but Stardust is the most beautiful one yet! 3.0 out of 5 stars breyer
stardust is not a play toy it's a [blot] on the shelf toy it can't
stand so good, and the horn can break any second. but its a beautiful breyer, stands for the great myth horses. and is worth alot to the person you give it to,this will be a great horse to add to your herd!

5.0 out of 5 stars Breyer's most beautiful unicorn ever!, October 12, 2001
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Breyer - Stardust - Traditional (Toy)
I've been collecting Breyers for over twelve years. I have the Stablemates unicorn, and both the limited edition unicorns (same mold except one is black and one is white), but Stardust is the most beautiful one yet! His head, neck and chest are a gleaming silvery white and his hindquarters and rear legs are greyish-blue with dappled silver stars. Again, it is the same mold used for the previous two unicorns but with a different finish. Even more interesting than his colouring is the backstory:

"Deep in an ancient forest, a young white unicorn sleeps beneath a dark wintry sky. Suddenly, a comet streaks across the sky, scattering tiny stars and flakes of stardust in a blue haze across the silent forest kingdom. When the unicorn awakes, he finds himself covered in a blanket of brilliant blue, sprinkled with stars and starflakes. Thus is born the legend of Stardust, the blue unicorn. Breyer celebrates the myth of this magical unicorn, his kinship to the horse, and his mythical past as a protector of the meek and guardian of justice."

Beautiful, sleek and elegant, the perfect gift for horse/unicorn lovers/collectors on your list.

4.0 out of 5 stars the running stallion revisited, July 14, 2002

This Breyer mold is known as the running stallion & was originally a horse. The horn & beard that morphed him into a unicorn has come & gone over the years as he has been first horse, then unicorn, then horse again, and now back to unicorn. This is one of the "original" Breyer molds, sculpted by Chris Hess who did all of the first Breyers. The color scheme on this guy is pretty, and the pearly look is a nice touch. The mold does produce individuals with standing problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Mythical Breyer Collectible, May 29, 2002
A Kid's Review

This review is from: Breyer - Stardust - Traditional (Toy)
Stardust is a beautiful unicorn with a strange pearly-silver coat with blue. He is like a mythical appalosa galloping through the stars. Stardust unicorn is a wonderful edition to any unicorn or breyer collection. (I have heard that he can't stand right because of his unusual running pose.)

I got this unicorn as a present and have always played with it.My friends always want to play it.The only reason I rate it 4 stars for durability is because it can't stand very well because it's hoof got chipped.

Stardust is a beautiful horse he has stars on his hindquaters that looks like space, and those sweet look in his eyes not to mention gentle look and the beautiful horn on his head. I have the same model and he stands fine and the horn on my model is cemented on his head. My model is in tip top shape and feels brand new and i had him for two years.

I must say, this guy is so much better in person. His coat has a pearly touch to to it, which makes the paler parts a silvery white. However, in the right lighting, it has a faint blue-ish tinge. And the star pattern is simply beutiful. I never get tired of looking at him. As you probebly know, this mold typically has standing problems, and Sardust is no exeption. And with carful playing (if that's what you plan to do with him), he should stay intact. But I would not recommend this to a child who is a rough player.

I have been collecting and showing model horses actively for over 8 years, and Stardust is perhaps one of my favorite models in a collection of close to 120 Breyers! Breyer did an excellent job of painting this one, no fake dapples or extensive overspray. Stardust has always shown quite well for me. The seams are pretty nice, and unlike some of the other newer models, no splitting! I would definately recommend this guy to any serious collector or unicorn lover. (:

Hy!I'm beuty beauty i rode my horses more and did'nt have more time for computers so i sold my old one won prize money from a riding show and bought another. This toy resembles Stardust my white andaulsian stallion i dyed him in the sun so the blue and silver dye stays in his coat for ever!I recently won a hunter under saddle show with stardust.his phony yet real looking horn and beard blew away the audience, and so did his half blue, and silver coat.i ride and compete the 5 year old stallion daily.ilead him by his reins after i won a show,a man asked me ''I bought a model by breyer that looks like that horse'',he said i smiled, and said i copied him off of the model.i always compete and ride stardust, and being completmitted,by people who loves the blue and silver horned beard stallion STARDUST.
