5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT C.D.- ALL 22 - U.S.A. Single Releases ARE HERE!, March 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Brian Hyland (Audio CD)
Brian Hyland had 22 singles chart from 1960 to 1971.
All 22 are here plus 4 b-sides and 4 album tracks.
The first 22 tracks of this C.D. are the hits in chronological order.
Some of his best are:
1. "Itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polkadot bikini", 1960, top 5 hit.
2. "Let me belong to you", 1961, top 20.
3. "Ginny come lately", 1962, just missed the top 20.
4. "Sealed with a kiss", 1962, top 5 hit.
5. "Warmed over kisses, (left over love)", 1962, just missed the top 20.
6. "The Joker went wild", 1966, top 20.
7. "Run, run, look and see", 1966, just missed the top 20.
8. "Gypsy woman", 1970, top 5 hit.
This collection dosen't seem to be all stereo, but I like it just the same.
After all, they weren't all in stereo back in the day when they were playing on the radio either.
This is my favorite compilation because the b-sides and 4 album tracks are more to my taste,
then the obscure tracks offered on some other compilations.

A great song that isn't always on Hyland's compilations is here.
"Hung up in your eyes" peaked at only #58 in 1967, but I've always thought it was one of his best.

The four b-sides are:
1. "I should be gettin' better", 1962. (typo on track listing says getting, it should be, gettin')
2. "Summer job",1962.
3. "Walk a lonely mile" 1962.
4. "Save your heart for me", 1963.
The four album tracks are:
1. "So long Marianne" released for a single in 1971 but didn't make the top 100.
2. "Rosemary" 1960.
3. "Don't dilly dally, Sally" 1960.
4. "Somewhere in the night" 1963.

The packaging is decent, but the C.D. dosen't include any liner notes.
The track listing includes the year and chart number.
The C.D. disc is red & yellow, and contains a decent picture of Hyland.
This collection is from ROCK-IN-BEAT, made in Germany.
All original recordings.

4.0 out of 5 stars My First Amazon Review, February 26, 2011

This review is from: Brian Hyland (Audio CD)
I purchased this CD only for the second track which is called Four Little Heels (The Clickity Clack Song).
I knew the first, 6 and 7th tracks but was surprised to see that Brian Hyland had made so many good recordings. I am very pleased with this collection and glad that I purchased it.

Everything Brian Hyland recorded is included here. Obscure hits like "The Joker went Wild" and "Hung Up in Your Eyes" make this a great compilation.
