5.0 out of 5 stars Rockabilly Heaven, August 29, 2005
This is dead on. From beginner to pro. The CD is great and the tab spotless. Take hours and hours to get these under your fingers. You will not regret it. This is so much better than scales. Get a Tascam guitar trainer and play it fast, play it slow, mark in and out and practice just one phrase, one verse, change keys. It is the real deal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Energy/Talent, June 23, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These Setzer licks are well done. You're given comping riffs, lead riffs & chordal attacks from early Setzer to current Setzer and his evolving style is well represented on the CD. If you go through this book/CD you'll get a real appreciation for the amount of talent and energy required to do Setzer justice on guitar. This author payed great attention to detail in unveiling Setzer's hard to correctly decipher note choices. Again, a metronome along with the slowed down lead guitar parts would have helped, because once you have the licks, you should gradually increase tempo until you can play them at his speed and for that you need to know where the notes come in the beat. In Setzer's world, even 'Sleepwalk' has an accelerated tempo !

4.0 out of 5 stars Guitar Licks of BS, July 13, 2007
By Vincent Mamone Jr. "Vince M" (frederick, md United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I would recommend this for any intermediate guitar player. The chord and scale supplement are worth the price. Althought I bought the book/cd for a few specific songs, the chords and scale part were a bonus. I believe some of the songs could be tabbed a little better. ie done the way BS plays them. Check out some of his performances on Youtube and you'll see what I mean. Rock this town I know is played with the low e tuned to d. Not tabbed in the book. However, great place to start to take you to another level. BS is a great guitar player.
