5.0 out of 5 stars I laughed, I cried, I could'nt stop reading. I loved it!, November 17, 1998

This review is from: Brian Wizard's Twentieth Century Anthology (Hardcover)
This book by Brian Wizard had me so interested that I found myself reading wherever and whenever I got a second. I truly loved this story, it gave me hope that maybe there really is a guardian angel looking out for each and every one of us. His story kept me so intrested that when it was done I was sad for it to be over. I hope Brian Wizard comes out with a sequel to Heaven on Earth cause if he does, I want to be the first one to read it. lol Brian if your out there and you can see this, I LOVED YOUR BOOK AND WOULD LOVE TO READ A SEQUEL TO IT. THANKS FOR WRITING SUCH A GREAT BOOK THAT TOUCHED ME IN WAYS YOU'LL NEVER KNOW......

4.0 out of 5 stars Very true to life as it was there in how we talked & acted., November 16, 1998

This review is from: Brian Wizard's Twentieth Century Anthology (Hardcover)
This is only for 'Permission To Kill' I was a crew chief in Brian's unit. He was my first door gunner. We had good times and tough times together. What I like about his writing style is that he portrays our lives over there as they were. This is a fiction, but he brings out the way very accurately as to how we thought, talked and acted. It is the most real of any type media that I have seen on helicopter flight crews in Vietnam. I had difficulty putting the book down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Honest reality during and after an unwanted war at age 18., September 26, 1998

This review is from: Brian Wizard's Twentieth Century Anthology (Hardcover)
As a woman and a mother unfamiliar with the realities of war, I found I found the first book and some of the 2nd, of the Viet Nam trilogy somewhat difficult to read due to the subject. What kept me interested was the hero's almost constant upbeat outlook on life, no matter what. Terrible things happened, but there he was looking at whatever bright side he could find, and sometimes it took awhile to find one. I have known Viet Nam veterans and I found the stories a reality check for most of us that wonder why they are "such a mess" - these books give a clue. The video brings sight and sound of war. Shindara is a cute story and an older child could read it and enjoy it as well as adults. Heaven on Earth is a fantasy but shows a very spiritual side of the author and a great imagination. I think that men, especially war veterans of Korea and Viet Nam, would appreciate the trials and tribulations. Perhaps women who were either involved in the Viet Nam war or know those that were would gain a better understanding of what went on and why he/she is the way they are.
