4.0 out of 5 stars great game
we've had this game since my son was 18 months - and we're still playing with it at almost 3. it's basically a memory game, but you can play it competitively, or not, with colors, or with black and white. if you love the book, this is a nice addition. the only problem is the cards - with a toddler, it's kind of hard to keep them on the table together, much less in the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as great as the book itself
I've always loved the book Good Night Moon and was so excited when my daughter received this as a gift. There is a lot of educational value in it, but honestly, I think it could have been made to have more options of play. Not really that exciting nor challenging.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2.5 year old loves it!, April 12, 2005

My daughter loved the book as a baby, and she loves the game now. She enjoys I-Spy books and the card game as well. Finding and matching images is a lot of fun for her. The fact that this ties into the book makes this even more fun.

I have a 4yr old and a 2 yr old. And they love this game. It makes my 4yr old happy i can sit and play a game with her and it's a game that my 2yr old can follow. The fact that you can adjust the "challenge" level helps make it more interesting for the older kids, and the familiar picks are attention keepers for little guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you love the book you will love this game., January 16, 2007
This review is from: Goodnight Moon Game (Toy)
I bought this game for my 18 month old son. He loves the Goodnight Moon book. The game has blown up pictures from in the book made into cards that he can match to a board. There is also a large board picture to match the pictures on the card. This game is easy to modify and use with younger children or with only one child. My 18 month old has been successful with matching to the boards. As his skills improve he will be able to play the more challenging versions of the game. The company is also willing to ship lost pieces for a minimal charge. This guarantees the game will stay intact.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun for younger children, February 14, 2007

My two-year old girl loves this game. Its easy and you don't have to be able to read to play it. Fans of the book will find it a great follow up...the child will be able to easily match up the pieces, and it provides good educational skills whilst being fun at the same time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Favorite Christmas Present, January 2, 2007
This review is from: Goodnight Moon Game (Toy)
My son got this for Christmas this year and he won't stop asking us to play! He's two and very into matching and it only adds to the fun of one of his favorite books (i'm even noticing details from the book that I've read evernight for the past 24 months! Did you know the cover of both Goodnight Moon & Runaway Bunny appear in the room!?) Anyway, it's definitely been a hit. The only negative thing I have to say is that the box has already started to tear- he wants to take it with us EVERYWHERE! Several of the classic games from when we were little are now in tin boxes- I think that's a great idea for toddlers & preschoolers & wish more manufacturers would do that. However, no reason to give any less than five stars (I'm not sure why only four are showing up!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Great first board game!, September 24, 2007

My almost 3 yo received this for her 2nd birthday. We have read her the book since birth-and she took to the first few versions of the game right away. She enjoys playing almost all of the versions, now. There are 1 or 2 versions that she has tried, but is not successful with yet (they are rated for 4 or 5+ yo). It is great because it grows with your child's memory development. You can progress ahead to the next level whenever your child is ready-but, the first few versions they suggest are excellent for 2 yo kids. What a fun way to learn to wait your turn while someone else plays (and each turn is VERY short for the adults, so they don't have to wait long at all).

My son is two-and-a-half and LOVES this game! We were having a hard time teaching him the concept of matching objects, but with this game, he picked it right up. He loves the book and recognized the pictures right away. I also like this game because it's designed to be played on several different levels. Right now we can just work on matching, soon we can build on that and use it as a memory game. I'm really happy that we got this game and enjoy playing it together!

I purchased this game for my two year old because he LOVES this book and it is hard to find games for two year old, he is always getting into his big brother and big sister's games. This is a GREAT game, it's basically all about matching, and there are several different variations you can do to keep it interesting. No complaints about this product!
