Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Very much focused on the small business, or org's that don't have much cash to throw at the Internet. I liked how it talked about generating actual sales leads and not just website traffic. The other chapters I got value from were exploration of the various ways to build a website (content management systems), how much it should cost and when to expect revenue to begin coming in from the new website.
There's a nice conversational flow to the book, so I found it easy to read and that helped me grasp the few technical aspects thrown in here and there.
An easy decision at $10

Format: Paperback
At last, a solid collection of knowledge and wisdom that I can use for my small business. I have been so busy keeping my business afloat in these difficult times, that I feel overwhelmed by the pace and extent of change that happens in the tech world around me. I know I must be on the web, I know I must do better with my website. I think I am up to date, state of the art and all that, but I find that I have to do way too much reading and I am forced to buy way too many pieces of new software just to stay current that I get discouraged. By reading this book, I see where I am remiss in this new cyber world. But Scanlan's book gets straight to the point. I can make decisions that impact my business each time I pick up the book. I am generally a slow reader, and I like the way the book is designed to facilitate easy access to difficult concepts and new items that I know I need to improve my position on Google search and more. I was impressed by the information right up front on the cover that helped me decide if this book was at my reading level and knowledge base. Thanks, great book at the right time!

Liam's book, Bricks to Clicks, is surprisingly fun and easy to read. It's laid out well, is full of smart advice, and allows anyone who wants to grow their online business a window on the world to what really makes a website tick, and subsequently get "clicks"! A must read for any e-commerce website owner!
