3.0 out of 5 stars Old Memories, January 6, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bricktop (Paperback)
I knew Bricktop and used to frequent her nightclub in Rome frequently. I had met Ava Gardner there, who was with Anthony Franciosa. That night, Bricktop asked her to leave as she was so drunk she could hardly stand up. The papparazzi were waiting outside. She was downing champagne, beer and brandy -- alternating. The club always had celebraties and Bricktop was very entertaining. Everyone loved to hear her sign "Miss Otis Regrets.' I was also there one night when Ella Fitzgerald was there to celebrate her birthday. Saw and met numerous other stars in this very small club. Great memories revived with this book.
