A celebration of brick !,
By A Customer
This review is from: Brickwork: Architecture and Design (Hardcover)
An inspirational book that explores the varried and colourfullhistory of brick masonry technolgy,
from the simple mud brick to thesoaring splender of todays high rise edifface.
Not just an exercise in architectual grandiose, this well illustrated volume takes the reader to
the building and shows how and why it is what we see today. As a mason I was impressed and enlightened.

This review is from: Brickwork: Architecture & Design (Pbk) (Paperback)
Part one by one author traces the history of brick construction, as an art historian. Part two by an architect discusses the technology--from the mining of clay deposits through the molding process. Very thorough and easy to read.
