Mr. June: Connor Storm, P.I., rancher

His Target: The elusive heiress

His Assignment: Pursue and recapture his bride

He'd made the mistake of falling for, lying to, then marrying Anna Barton, the woman he'd been hired to find. And then she fled. Now Connor would need more than money to bring back his runaway wife--and their baby!

His original plan hadn't included a family, but once he lassoed Anna, he intended to keep her...for better or worse.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Ann Major book yet, October 13, 2011

I'm a big fan of Ann Major, so I was so disappointed in this book. The first two books in this series--The girl with the golden gun in particular--were wonderful. The last two the characters were not thought out, and in this particular book I hated the herione. I've never read a book where I've ever despised a character so much. She was spineless, and the guy was a wuss. Skip it. Read the girl with the golden gun out of this 4 part series. Skip the rest.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be so much better..., October 5, 2010

I am a customer from Brazil and I like romance and suspense. I beg your perdon for eventual errors in writting this review. I loved the plot about a PI that was hired to find a missing heiress. Becky, the woman, was kinapped when she was a children and escaped. So, she has issues about trusting. But, for the sake of romance, she trusted and married a unknown man, Conor. He lied to her and was pissed of when she did not tell him about their baby !!! That's the first thing that did not sit well with me. Second, she had a boyfriend that stalked her and I was expecting that he continued his behavior, so Conor could save her. Nothing !!! The ex-boyfriend forget her! Then, another point, she was a heiress, and in the book no money was given to her, and Conor forced her to meet her family that she has no memory. He is a PI, not a shrink! And she run away, to take care of a old man with Alzmeir, and abandoned this job without a note to the family of the poor man, and returned, and a police officer was not able to stop her because of a natural desaster in Texas. I do not believe that USA police is not careful !!!
So, resuming, I think the details could be more explored, and romance is not reality, but it has to be at least similar. And if you did not read the previous book int this serie, you would be inable to understand the appearance of her half sister in the epilogue.
