This Should be the Eye of the Tiger it was so good,
By Campy Stein (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bride Of The Tiger (Paperback)
I am usually not a reader of these types of books, but I found an old copy of it when I was riding the bus and couldnt put it down. I must have done the bus circut two or three times before I realized I was so engrossed that I missed my stop. Thre reading continued until I got home and finally fell asleep with my sleepy head resting right on "The End." Read this book with the doors locked and a box of kleenex at hand. You'll value your privacy because this book captured the wild horses of my emotion.-Campy

I am a huge fan of Heather Graham Pozzessere (aka Shannon Drake) and her sweeping historical romances (see my other reviews) so this contemporary was a bit of a detour for me but I loved it. The hero, Rafe Tyler, from a successful family of merchant seamen and traders, is the tiger--a hunk to die for and a wise one at 37. He's looking for his half brother who he loves who disappeared into the wilds of Venezuela two years ago in a shoot out involving a theft of antiquities and a beautiful blonde model, Tara Hill. Tara has been cruelly treated by a twisted former lover and is afraid to trust. She needs cash as she's been away from modeling and hiding for the last two years since that horrible day. The first time Rafe and Tara meet, the chemistry between them makes their blood boil, but Rafe intends to use her to get to his brother if he's still alive and does not bargain on love with a woman he does not trust. This was a well told story, the characters finely drawn and the relationship believable. Graham is simply one of the very best at romance and I love all her novels. While this is one of her shorter novels at 249 pages, it is well worth the read. You won't be disappointed!
