Book Description

January 5, 2009
Wholly original and authentic, The Bride Wore Black is a true story of some serious sin...and a Savior! "The tone may be 'Sex in the City' to start, but it's a tale of total triumph in the end. I understand that at times it may read more like a fictional novel than reality, but trust me, there is no illusion in it. To me, fiction is a waste of time when real life issues are so relevant and riveting. Excerpt from book "We must never forget that sin will always take us further than we intend to go; keep us longer than we were planning to stay; and cost us more than we were prepared to pay," says Author, Glenda Motsavage. The writing is a trio of serious life events [terminal illness, spiritual witchcraft, and a prison sentence] that were all transformed into opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. "A riveting piece of reading! Not only is it well done, but also screams out scores of issues that many people are dealing with today. I especially like the 'walk' through the various parts of Glenda's life and how they all eventually lead to a saving knowledge of Christ; a must read for all." Ronald B. Liples, Pastor/Christian Counselor GLENDA MOTSAVAGE is a licensed minister, certified Christian counselor, Bible teacher, conference speaker, and author of several publications. After being divinely healed from terminal cancer in 1988, Glenda has been compelled to lead a life devoted to spreading God's Word. She, along with her husband Stan are co-founders of Sozo Ministries, an evangelistic ministry with a vision to teach and impart the healing power of God. Through the message of Sozo (to be made whole), miracles have manifested and God has been faithful to intervene in the lives of many. www.sozo4all.com

More About the Author

About Glenda

Glenda's story is like an illustrated sermon straight from the pages of Scripture; a vivid reminder that God is still in the miracle-working business. It speaks of God's unconditional love to touch even the sin-shattered souls of the world. Glenda is living proof that perfection is not a prerequisite to receive a healing touch from God.

A small-town girl and farmer's daughter, she was raised in Millersburg, Pennsylvania. At eighteen, the provocative pages of her life were filled with rebellion and reckless behavior that only increased over the next ten years.

At the age of twenty-nine, given a death sentence from stage 5 invasive cervical cancer, she was as distant from God as one can be. Feeling small and insignificant in a gigantic world, she thought no one had noticed her pain. Imagine her surprise then, when the most powerful "Force" in the universe showed up unannounced. Right there in the doctor's office the miracle unfolded as God chose to dissolve her cancerous tumor, witnessed by one of the best Gynecological Oncologists on the east coast! God abruptly halted "man's plan" to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatments that day. None would be needed.

A serendipity indeed...a divine disruption that radically changed the way Glenda looked at the world, and the way she now lives in the world. During the past twenty years she has been compelled to lead a life devoted to spreading God's Word. With a passionate bold approach to biblical healing, her conviction is clear: "God is no respecter of persons, what He has done for me, is available to all." She believes and teaches that regardless of a person's background or past mistakes, God loves them and wants to make them whole.

Glenda is a licensed minister, certified Christian counselor, Bible teacher, and conference speaker. She has authored several publications including her riveting testimony, "The Bride Wore Black." She, along with her husband Stan, are co-founders of Sozo Ministries, an evangelistic ministry with a vision to teach and impart the healing power of God. She and Stan have been married for twenty-two years, and make their home in Poinciana, Florida.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Trio of Testimonies!, September 16, 2010
This review is from: The Bride Wore Black (Paperback)
Packed within the pages of this little book was actually three mini testimonies...which made for one great reading experience! I liked the fact that it was short enough to read in one sitting. Although a Christian and virtuous woman now, the author has not lost sight of her sorry beginnings as a reckless and rebellious young person. It truly is a book of hope...not religious hype. This woman is "the real deal" and not afraid to speak about real-life issues. Glenda's story related to my own on many levels. It ministered to me in ways that I have not experienced before. It instilled faith in me to believe that I can receive the same awesome results in my life. To the Christian and non-believer alike, I recommend "The Bride Wore Black."

5.0 out of 5 stars Cancer-Christian Cults-Cocaine...it's all in there!!, January 18, 2009

This review is from: The Bride Wore Black (Paperback)
A spiritual stimulus package for the discouraged soul. A modern day serendipity. Reassurance that divine disruptions still occur without merit. A transparent testimony of triumph for this underdog. The Bride Wore Black is a haven of hope for heavy hearts and homes in despair. For anyone struggling with sickness, reckless and rebellious children, and those who have given up on God. Herein lies inspirational proof that sometimes the worst thing that can happen to us is actually the very best thing, in disguise. Light enough to read in one sitting...heavy enough to chew on for the rest of your life!!
