5.0 out of 5 stars Wit, charm and romance - utterly enjoyable!

The Bride Wore Spurs made me cry and laugh so often, I had to put it away on the train as I was embarrassing myself! Sharon has an amazing gift of wit, combined with a talent for telling a charming love story in a stunning setting. I could really see and hear the characters as well as imagine the beautiful Wyoming territory as it must have looked nearly 150 years...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not believeable
The book started out good but I didn't find the storyline believeable. If it's so bad to marry a "half breed" then what true friend would encourage her friend to marry one and what white male would encourage a white woman to marry one? I didn't find that whole thing believeable at all.
Hawke also was not nice to Lacey most of the time in the beginning so I found it...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bride Wore Spurs, October 7, 2011

I read a lot of books. I've read over 100 on my Kindle in less than a year. This book is one of my favorites. I liked the simplicity of the story and the way the author kept the characters personalities strong throughout the entire read. I've purchased 4 more books by this author and expect to love each one of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally found a good one!, August 22, 2011

Finally, I found an inexpensive read for my Kindle that was very enjoyable! This story was well done. The characters had depth and the author did a very nice job revealing them through the story. The hero, Hawke, wasn't one of those brooding, moody men. The heroine, Lacey, wasn't silly and overdone. Descriptive writing helped the story along and wasn't distracting. Tender moments and humor really boosted this story. I cared about the characters, and basically, wiped out my afternoon reading! Very satisfactory ending. I am going to get another of Sharon Ihle's novels right after submitting this review. I am impressed by Ihle, and want to see if she does good work on another.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read, August 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Lacey & John are the primaries, and they are captivating. It's a sweet love story with lots of twists, good sex (eventually), and very lyrical language. The secondary romance between Kate and Caleb is a nice backdrop. Oh yes. Crowfoot will steal your heart! My only problem is the standard Kindle formatting errors. And just how did the Notes about the Author end up BEFORE the epilogue? Even so,I will definately read more Sharon Ihle books!

4.0 out of 5 stars REALLY ADORABLE, April 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was one of those feel good books nothing heavy about it and easy to read. A cast of nice simple characters no one overly beautiful, young or talented. A so called "halfbreed", a "madwoman" and an abandoned child" form a dysfunctional family that works. Predjidism, insecurity and strength are all addressed.I really liked it lots. Worth the cost. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars A delightful world, March 1, 2011
What a treat to read a well-written story about characters I easily fell in love with. It took me no time to slide into the past and enter the world Sharon created. Flat out a good read. I'm not going to say more because if I get started, I'll probably give the plot away. Discover it for yourself.
