Book Description

May 1, 2002
Strong, magnetic men, feisty women and the powerful sizzling attraction between them are trademarks of international bestselling author Diana Palmer. Escape with two complete novels -- and fall in love all over again . . .

The Australian: He'd claimed she was too young and broken their engagement -- and her heart. But when rugged Outback rancher Jonathan Sterling stormed back into Priscilla Johnson's life, dare she hope that this time she'd end up his bride?

Heart of Ice: Sparks flew whenever feisty Kati James went near powerful Egan Winthrop. Though innocent Kati agreed to come to Egan's ranch to research her next novel, she hadn't counted on the breathtaking attraction that grew between them -- or Egan's discovering she was a virgin . . .

I first read this book about 6 years ago, I can't say how many times I've reread it. I love Diana Palmer's books, unfortunately the newer ones just aren't as good, same old, same old. But this one is a personal favorite!

4.0 out of 5 stars Emotional Book, March 24, 2005
This review is from: Brides to Be (2 Novels in 1) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was very good. The first story was great, up until I found out why Jonathan kept her away from him for five years. I didn't really think that his reason was a bad enough one for all the drama and hate. It jumps from their past together to the present a lot also. It has a lot of heated emotional scenes. The second story was a little better than the first. The ending was very good. It takes place in the city and then on a ranch. Egan thinks he knows and understands Katie, but he really doesn't know or understand her at all. You don't really get to see them as a loving couple that much though. It was too short.

2.0 out of 5 stars The Australian, January 3, 2007

Diana Palmer has obviously extensively researched her story 'The Australian'. However, this Australian sees many glaring errors in this story! For example, Randy is a distinctly American name. I have never met an Aussie called Randy! Palmer overuses many Australianisms such as 'Crikey', and often uses them in the wrong context. Many times this story made me cringe! 'The Australian' was obviously written for an American market.
