Book Description

Lifestyle April 28, 2003
For the savvy bride, the secret of planning the perfect wedding isn’t just knowing what she has to do, but also knowing what questions to ask. Along with tips and checklists for every aspect of the wedding, including the ceremony, the reception, fashion and beauty, and the honeymoon plans, each section of this book suggests dozens of possible queries, with space for writing the answers. For example, at the reception site, inquire, “How do overtime charges work?” and when interviewing musicians, the bride should find out whether they will play requests and require breaks. Complete with worksheets for comparing services and costs, as well as pockets to hold papers and business cards, this is the essential planner for every bride.

5.0 out of 5 stars 100% Thorough, September 28, 2005

This review is from: The Bride's Book of Lists: Things to Do & Questions to Ask (Spiral-bound)
This book is so complete that I have barely scratched the surface of all that it has to offer, and I've had it for over a month! Complete with timelines, questions that I never would have thought to ask, and "keep in mind" helpful hints. Fantastic!

4.0 out of 5 stars Every detail you can think of and more, February 2, 2004
By A Customer
This book has a checklist for everything. It has every question you could possibly need to ask your vendors. It has tips for negotiating price and keeping within your budget. It has pockets. It has business card holders. It even has a checklist that reminds the groom to make sure he has the right socks. It is also MUCH cheaper than those giant Wedding Planners that don't fit in your tote bag. So far, it's been very helpful.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's got most of what brides need, except for a guest list., August 12, 2009
Given all the positive reviews, I purchased this planner. And, I'm definitely using it. However, it lacks a fundamental piece of my wedding puzzle, in my opinion: The Guest List - you know, the very loved ones you need to celebrate with.
It's really a physically well-designed planner - just as the other reviewers mention.
I truly wonder whether I simply got a defective copy, without a guest list? I need a list for a head count, to make sure we didn't miss anyone and to keep track of all of the correspondence (read: invitations, thank you's, etc.). I recommend poaching from another planning book/publication in order to add that vital section to this planner.
I hope in its next edition, it includes a guest list, so that I can purchase it as gifts for newly-engaged friends & family.
Otherwise - it's very nice.
