"A must for any bride-to-be. Invaluable tips on problems most brides never anticipate, and I don?t mean the wedding plans!"

More About the Author

As a psychotherapist in private practice in New York City I am always awed by the human spirit to grow and heal, to love and to meet life's incredible challenges. My writing is inspired by the world around me, my own life and those of family and patients. For me, it's mostly about love, connection, aesthetics, and intellectual pursuits.

Everyone talks about the stress engaged couples experience during the wedding planning process but this is the only book that explains why wedding planning can be so difficult. The author delivers practical, easy to use strategies to keep all participants happy while allowing the engaged couple to enjoy the process. Particularly helpful for couples coping with difficult families or second marriages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Help When I Needed It, February 10, 2006
This book came to my aid when my daughter was being married. Although it is intended for the bride, I found it very helpful in dealing with my daughter and the issues that she was facing. I have suggested this book to all of the families that I know who are going through this exciting, frustrating time of life

5.0 out of 5 stars I felt so much better after reading this book., August 11, 2005

This review is from: Bride's Guide to Emotional Survival (Paperback)
Bride's Guide helped me navigate some tough situations with friends, family and money. It made me realize that our wedding isn't just about us. It is about molding a new place in our lives as husband and wife. A wedding is a social ritual and redefines the role of parent and child. It is important to resolve problems before the wedding, lest they taint the new marriage. With the help of this book my fiance and I decided not to elope and instead we are having a small wedding, enriching our relationship and improving our relationship with friends and family.
