Fresh and emotional melodic hardcore at its best,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Bridge (Audio CD)
I picked up Letter Kills - The Bridge after seeing them at the warped tour. I have to say, it's one of the best $10 I've ever spent. If you like bands such as Thursday, Dead Poetic, and Taking Back Sunday, you'll love Letter Kills. LK sounds like the above bands but they also have their own unique sound. One thing I love are the '80s guitar solos - a big complaint I have about today's hardcore bands are the lack of guitar solos.
Overall the best CD of the year so far, and I definitely recommend picking it up if you're into the emo/hardcore genre.

ok, the music store must have been playing a joke on me. i listened to "THE BRIDGE" at my local music store, and every song the lead singer did his weird laugh, the put that part on the sample.i thought that was kinda annoying. but i bought the album anyway and discovered he only did it about 5 times. but now, its cool. any way, when i first heard this cd, i thought it was kinda bland. then i listened to it a few more times, and i realized this was a cool, emo band that had cool guitar solos. you dont hear that everyday do you?

Other than the first 2 tracks, "Lights Out" and "Dont Believe," i really couldnt get into this cd. The guitarist is amazing, one of the best ive come across in new music, but the lyrics and the songs just start sounding the same in the middle of the cd. Its ok but slightly monotone. However I still do reccomend buying it just to hear the guitarist, wow.
