5.0 out of 5 stars Genuine spiritual communication, June 1, 2002

This review is from: The Bridge Over the River (Paperback)
I read this book the first time many years ago and was deeply moved and affected by it then. Reading it again, now, several decades later I became aware of how incredibly significant it is. The young artist whose thoughts are received by his sister and recorded by her, shows himself to be a deeply caring person who is given permission to convey information about the life after death that is astonishingly clear, precise and helpful. The straightforwardness of his ideas, the deep concern he shows for us, who are trying so desparately to understand our condition and the way he expresses his feelings about his experiences make it clear that this is a genuine communication. It is brought to us with love and without any hint of the vagueness or flowery language of some sources. Be prepared to have your mind illuminated and your soul nourished.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed My Picture of Life after Death, June 26, 2011

This review is from: The Bridge Over the River (Paperback)
The description of what happens on the other side of the river of death resonated profoundly with me - and I always give this volume to a friend who has experienced a death in the hopes that it will do the same for them. The story of a young brilliant musician who is killed in World War I and yet is able through automatic writing to convey to his sister how the music he is working on in his new world is moving and exciting. Even if you don't believe in automatic writing or communication from spirits who have passed over, this book is worth reading, because it offers a new way of imagining where our loved ones are, and what their work continues to be and how it continues to grow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expands Your Soul, March 4, 2011

This review is from: The Bridge Over the River (Paperback)
It is remarkable to me that this book was published in the early 1900's. I can imagine Sigwart's sister's apprehension in publishing, along with the remarkable joy and promise that compels me to read and reread. My son Tyler died on a People to People Student Ambassador Trip to Japan in 2007. I received many affirmations that he was in the light. By divine intervention, a medical professional at the International Association of Near Death Studies recommended Bridge Over a River to me. I am so grateful. Divine love and affirmations reaffirm my conscious awakening and that my son lives forever in the light. I am grateful.
