This CD, recorded live at the Coffee House Extempore in Minneapolis, is a fine sampling of Bill Staines's art as a songwriter, singer, guitarist, and yodeler. Every song on this CD is a winner (Bill Staines wrote most, although not all, of them).The sound is fine for a live recording, and Guy Van Duser's guitar picking is particularly good.

Bill Staines recordings are always a treat. His own songs, recorded by many others as well, are good musically and the lyrics are so descriptive of places, events, and people. The songs are also very "singable" by everyone, as anyone who has been to one of Bill's concerts knows. Bill is good at seeing and expressing the humor in situations. Good, clean fun, pleasant listening.

Live Bill Staines is Great!,

This CD is one of my all-time favorites. It gives one a great feel for how Staines is in concert, a very intimate feel, and a wonderfully friendly man. "Movin it Down the Line", and many favorites are easy to sing along to. After finding this CD much by accident in a Minneapolis record store, I bought the guitar book, and sing Bill's songs to my young boys. The CD is a winner. My next purchase will be Bill's book about traveling on the road. JM
