I enjoyed "Bridges" very much. It's about a little girl and the summer she spent working on her fathers bridge and trying to prove herslf worthy in an adult world. It was charming from a childs perspective, yet at times brutally honest as life truly is. It's chalk full of lifes lessons as a child would learn on a day to day basis, but as the book points out, those same lessons adults soon forget and have to re-learn. The detail will make any reader conjure up memories of childhood. I will not practise my usual routine of trading this book for another now that I've completed it. It's a keeper. Instead, I will keep it, read it again, and share it with my children.
