I read on a golf forum which golf balls were the best. As a beginner, I went out and tried all the top brands and found myself shooting horribly. Taylormade Penta's, Titliest Pro V1's, Top Flites, etc all were useless for me. I saw this brand on a site and decided to check it out. At this point, I didn't think that the golf ball you used mattered much because I shot horribly with all golf ball brands I tried. When I first used a sleeve of these, my golf partners were very impressed. They couldn't believe that I was instantly driving 50 yards or more longer and was landing straight down the fairway. I have an amatuer swing speed/lower swing speed, so using those high end brands for high swing speeds was self defeating. I had no problem with chipping or putting either. After that round, I picked up another box. I've been playing with these and the E6's ever since. I'm going to to try out the 2012 models. Until then, these are 4 out of the 6 sleeves I carry in my bag.

I usually play Taylormade Penta. I switched to these as our fairways have turned light brown. They are much easier to see, particularly on light brown fairways. I can distinguish my ball from my partners balls much more easily. Those are good things.I've used them for 2 rounds. The problem is that the previous 18 rounds were ALL lower scores with Penta's. Maybe I had a bad weekend as spin on the green wasn't bad, but distance control was long or short, just not repeatable. I'll give them a chance since my index won't go up for 5 more rounds but this weekend was out of the norm. Too bad the Penta doesn't come in colors. Updated 2/5/12 I bumped it from 3 stars to 4 stars. I played them Friday and Saturday and shot 65 and 66 net. The yellow ball is great. I still like the Penta better, but these are definitely the way to go when you're dealing with light brown fairways. I may stay with them even when the grass turns green again.

When I see a yellow or orange golf ball I usually think of a KMart ball that is going to be hard as a rock with no spin and no feel. These Bridgestone balls aren't that. While not quite as soft/spinnable as a Pro V1, this is a very playable ball (it feels about like a Titleist NXT Tour to me) that just happens to be yellow. And a very bright yellow at that (think more bright yellow than mellow yellow.) I bought these b/c the 18th hole at my course neighbors the driving range and a drive pushed right gets mixed in with the range balls. Now I just pull out one of these Tour B330-RX balls on 18 and swing away without worrying about that!

I bought these for my husband. His eyes are not as good as they have been and the yellow cover helps. The only probem he has with these balls is they appear to have a homing device for water.
