Bridget has done it again.............,
By keeley (Dorset, U.K) - See all my reviews

This is an excellent soundtrack, which I really enjoyed listening to. I would like to give it 5 stars, because there isn't one song on this album that I don't like, but I can't due to the fact that one very important song is missing....'Ain't no mountain high enough'. I thought that this was one of the most important songs in the fabulous film, (If you haven't seen it then go!) as it cropped up twice. First of all on the way two the Darcy's Ruby Wedding anniversary and second when Bridget was chasing Mark through the snow!! Apart from that, I can honestly say, this is the first ever album that I have bought, with not one track on that I have to skip. The five extra tracks, being Aaron Soul - Ring, ring, ring, Artful Dodger - Woman Trouble, Aretha Franklin - Respect and Pretenders - Don't get me wrong, are amazing. I couldn't understand why the Aretha Franklin song was missed out on the American version of this soundtrack, because I know that it plays a vital part in the film. It is well worth just getting the album for the picture of Mark Darcy on the front! Even though it isn't in the most flattering postion......He still looks gorgeous!

I don't agree with missing 'an't no mountain high enough - how could you. Also someone like you was sung by Van Morrison - the CD should be the same as Film - how could you.Not buying it now - instead will buy Van Morrison CD.

I decided to buy this CD rather than the American version because it had better and more music. I am so glad I did. I listen to this CD from start to finish and enjoy every minute of it.

The song is Woman Trouble. It's number 10 on this album and features Craig David and Robbie Craig (aka Artful Dodger). I, too, fell in love with this song and had no idea of the title, but I just found this out tonight and thought I would share. Hope this helps!

Great CD, but...,
This review is from: Bridget Jones' Diary (Audio CD)
It must be revealed that track 6 on this CD is not "Just Perfect" by Tracy Bonham, but "Don't get me wrong" by the Pretenders, which is also found on Vol. 2 of the soundtrack. In order to get "Just Perfect" you have to buy the domestic version. I presonally think it's worth sacrificing one song to get both volumes of the import though, as they're certainly high-quality stuff.

The name of the song playing after Bridget's interview is called "Woman Trouble" and is by Artful Dodger. I love this song too and the only reason I know the title is because I played the DVD with the audio commentary and the director mentions it. I hope you enjoy the CD!

The name of the song is "Dreamsome", and the artist is Shelby Lynn. You will find that song and another awesome track by Shelby called (Your Love's the) Killin' Kind". I am certain both tracks are on the 1st volume of the US original soundtrack release. Apparently the "Dreamsome" song is a hit, because it was used in the movie "Someone Like You" as well, with Ashley Judd, Hugh Jackman and Greg Kinnear. Check this flick out - it's worth the rental!

I am desperately trying to find the name of the song in the movie in which a woman is singing and the chorus is something like, "did you miss me?". Does anyone know the name and artist of that song? I believe it is playing when Colin Firth comes back to England to tell Bridget he "forgot something".
