Globalization through Technology,
By
This review is from: A Brief History of Globalization: the Untold Story of Our Incredible Shrinking Planet (Paperback)
Very well written book that's easy to read. Seems to be more a history of the rise of technology than anything else: from early maps to the Internet. Still it's exactly what it says it is: a brief history of globalization.

A very good and handy book if you are a student of how the world has become what it is today. The author does a great job of holding your attention, and unfolding world events. It is also clear he has done his homework and research in putting this book together.I took a casual look at the book at a London airport bookstore, and was hooked in minutes. On the journey back to the US, I could not put it down. The book may seem somewhat voluminous, but I would encourage you not to be put off by that. |
