    Well constructed, well designed.

This bag allows me to store everything neatly and upon arrival, my cloths still look reasonably neat and pressed.

I fly 100K miles a year, and it was time to get a better carry-on bag than the old Samsonite I've used for 10 years. I debated between the crew versions of Travelpro and this Briggs & Riley, and finally went for this. I'm glad I did; it is extremely thoughtfully engineered, beautiful but understated, and without a doubt extremely high quality. Following are some questions and answers that might be of help to you in deciding.

Can I see other photos? As of this writing, the Olive color bag has more photos than the Black version. Click on that color to see them. I've also posted some of my own.

What are the real dimensions? I measured it carefully and took photos with a tape measure; check the photos I added to the customer images. Meanwhile, the dimensions are 21.9" tall, by 13.9" wide, by 9.25" deep (measuring to the front seam, with no additional depth to the front pocket). Thus, it is within the US domestic limits for height and width, but is about 1/4" deeper than the officially allowed carry on size. However, that is more conservative in size than many bags that people carry on. If I ever run into problems with it, I'll update.

Does it fit in the sizer? Yes, but barely on depth. At least it fit on the United sizer that I tried. This is with nothing in the external pockets and having to compress it a bit and push. I've added two photos showing this. Width and length were no problem at all in the sizer I tested.

What's up with the garment bag? Check the photos (including the other color options) closely. The key things are this: if the bag is empty, you can unzip the main compartment, attach a hook to the side of the bag, and hang it up on a door to present the garment bag part in full length. Wire hangers (not included) will go into a locking mechanism.

This is a great bag, particularly if you travel with suits. I regularly take 2-3 day trips which require me to bring a blazer, slacks, etc. This bag allows me to store everything neatly and upon arrival, my cloths still look reasonably neat and pressed. I had initially been trying to decide between this bag and a comparable Tumi unit. I am very glad I went with this one. The bag looks great, seems tough, works flawlessly and was significantly more affordable. I am very glad opted to go with this one.

This is my sixth piece of luggage from Briggs and Riley. I am loyal to Briggs and Riley, and this piece does not deviate from the standards that I have come to except.

    How I pack it
    - Garment Section
    > Four pairs of dress slacks
    -Flat Packing Section
    > Four polo shirts and four undershirts packed into an Eagle Creek Pack-It Folder 15
    > Six pairs of socks in an Eagle Creek Pack-It Half Tube Cube
    > Four pairs of underwear in an Eagle Creek Pack-It Quarter Cube
    > One pair of jeans folded, loose packed
    > One soft-shell jacket folded, loose packed
    > Board shorts rolled, loose packed
    > Flannel pajama bottoms rolled, loose packed

    Notes
    - Two Pack-It Half Tube Cubes are able to run alongside the Pack-It Folder 15, but the combination above works best for me.
    - There is an odd shaped space at the top of the Pack-It Folder 15 that I really don't like. I use the rolled, loose packed items to fill this space.
    - The bag is very full, but it zips up fine and my clothes are well organized and able to be easily searched, then repacked if need be.

    Bottom Line
    - The construction quality, level of detail and stellar warranty make this bag for me.
    - Carry-on size dimension restrictions necessitated buying some new Pack-Its (I'm over this)
    - It allows me to ensure that items that I absolutely need for the work week arrive with me. Non-critical items are checked.

I've used this bag as my work travel bag for the last twenty years and it's been great. I travel, on average, every other month, from two to ten days. The only thing I've ever needed replaced was a zipper pull six years ago. It was covered by the lifetime warranty, of course. The pulls, wheels and zippers still work smoothly and the bag still looks good. Not new, but good. This is my first ever Amazon review - but after 20 years of using the product regularly, I figure I'm in a fair position to opine.

I travel every week--out Sunday, back Thursday. This year I needed to start to wear suits so I purchased this bag after reading the reviews. It fits 2 suits, 3 shirts, a pair of shoes and all of the other extras that I need for the 4 days perfectly. You might be able to get 5-6 days worth of clothes in this. Well constructed, well designed. It is perfect for someone who needs to wear suits on the road.
