Briggs $ Stretton fuel stabilizer,

This review is from: Briggs & Stratton Fresh Start Fuel Stabilizer Plus 4.2 Oz 5041H (Lawn & Patio)
This product was recommended to me by an outdoor equipment mechanic. They described it as "like butter for the engine". I had had a sarting problem with my snowblower at the beginning of the season. I swore I put Sta-Bil in the gas when I put it away, but it smelled old. I had to resort to cleaning the carburator to get it to run right. The mechanic advised that today's gas deteriorates quickly. He does not buy much more than he will use because of this. He puts Briggs & Stratton fuel stabilizer in the gas jug as he fills it at the gas station, then uses it for his recreation and yard equipment - ALL year long. (My biggest mistake at the end of the year was that I should have ran all the gas out of the snowblower (gas with the stabilizer in it - and NOT left any in the tank. The mechanics use B&S stabilizer in every engine they work on and leave the rest of the bottle on the handle of the equipment. They have seen a dramatic decrease in problems as a result. I believe it! I added some to my two motorcyles and ran them. Now when I sart them periodically (still in winter storage), they start immediately. I bought a few bottles because I intend to take the advise of the mechanic. I will use it all year in my gas. Try it. You will see a difference.

Keeps fuel fresh without drying out rubber and seals like similar products that have an alcohol base. Easy, drip free, self measuring bottle. Fast shipping and safe, professional packaging.

I've been using this product on my 23 year old Toro mower for years. It still starts on the first or second gentle pull. This product preserves the gas, keeps things clean and virtually assures a good start. The local store where I bought it for years closed and I couldn't find it in any of the other stores here. I doubt that the Stable brand they sell will do the same thing. The place I ordered from Amazon gave excellent service and it arrived in a few days. Use this product at the maintenance recommendation all the time. I believe that at the end of the season running the gas through with it helps keep it clean and ready for the next season.
This is the cheapest best thing for your mower.

At the end of the season (spring for snowblowers, fall for lawnmowers) there is no better way to prolong the life of your engine and ensure fast future startups than draining the gas, pouring in Fuel Stabilizer, and running the engine until it runs out of fuel. I have used this for 5 years and my motors invariably start on the first or second pull after months of storage.

I recently purchased a new snowblower, and the salesman told me that today's gasoline only stays good for about 30 days. He suggested B&S Gas Treatment, but did not sell it. I bought the product to put in the tank of the engine so I will be able to start it right up next year. If I have trouble I'll be reporting back here.

I was introduced to this product several years ago by a small equipment dealer and have to say when used, it has never disappointed me, all of my treated seasonal equipment has always started right up after being stored for the season

My small engine mechanic recommended this instead of Stabil. I had been using Stabil but I would still have problems starting my snow blower or mower after sitting for a season. He said that Stabil breaks down faster than this stuff. I believe him! The Briggs and Stratton Fuel Stabilizer works like a dream. Mix into your gas can as directed and run your motor to get it into the engine. All of our motors start up with no problem using this AND it has cured some rough running issues too! Do yourself a favor and try this.
