I've only used my BS generator once during a power outage and of course testing it several times.
It will operate all the appliances on my farm incl my well pump, and in house. Of course not all at once. The only appliance it will not handle is my large electric hot water heater. As with all BS engines it works great. I would not buy anything that does not have a BS engine. The machine is compact and well made. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition. My unit arrived today, with no visible external damage. I opened the first of four sides, per instructions, only to have the entire outlet box fall in my lap. The four posts that hold the box to the frame had sheared off. I've only managed to find two of the posts. If I can't find the other two, it would seem that the damage occurred at the factory. If I find the other two, then I'm not sure who to blame, as the only way these could shear off like they did was if the unit was dropped. The unit is well-packed with expanding foam in all the voids in the unit. Customer service wants me to take it to a service center. I bought B&S based on their history of quality. Not off to a good start.
