I found this for less than half the price they are asking here at a local store. It's very soft. The instructions say to unzip the battery compartment and carefully pull out the battery pack, insert the batteries, switch it to "on" and stuff the battery pack back inside. Then, strongly tap the pillow to activate the lights. It's very neat, colorful and pretty. The lights go off after 15 minutes, but I wish you could just tap the pillow to turn the lights off as well. Otherwise you have to pull out the battery pack and switch it to "off" if you don't want to wait the 15 minutes for it to shut off. That's annoying, but other than that I really like this pillow.

I purchased this pillow from a department store for my 13 year old daughter. My 21 year old daughter loved it so I decided to get one for her birthday. They were sold out at the store so I decided to look on Amazon. I was surprised to read some negative product reviews, so I decided to write my own. I'm reviewing on the product and not the price, not the seller or shipping.

My 13 year old loves her pillow. First of all, this does not take the place of your everyday sleep pillow. It is a fun pillow that acts like a nightlight, except that it has a timer. The pillow is a good size, it is soft, and the different colored lights have a calming effect. It is a quality item. I wouldn't be paying $20+ for a second pillow if I didn't think it was a quality product.

I would recommend for any age, adult included.

I don't think the battery was included. At 6 weeks since my purchase, it is still working great!

We purchased one of these for my 5 yr old daughter and she loves it. In wanting to buy another, I checked Amazon and laughed at the price. They are $20 at the local Walmart.

The pillow only worked for one night and then broke! My daughter is so disappointed! The concept is great but the product is totally flawed.

Just a warning, I did not receive a bright lights pillow..instead we received a knockoff brand. It didn't even work at that. Called amazon and way are handling it..but I will have a very disappointed little girl..it was the only thing she had asked for and really wanted for her birthday. :( looks like I'll be driving all over town trying to find one in the stores. Wish me luck!

This pillow is a fire hazard! I originally purchased this pillow at the exorbitant price over others because I was very concerned about the possibility of it overheating and not having an automatic shut-off after 15 minutes and this was claimed not to be a danger. NOT SO! It did not work from the start. After inserting the three batteries the pillow never emitted any light but THE BATTERY PACK STARTED HEATING UP TREMENDOUSLY. Fortunately I went back after a time to see if it ever would do as advertised only to find two of the batteries were so hot I could not remove them without severely burning my hand. Also, one of the batteries was totally cold - if this isn't serious inferior manufacturing, I don't know what is. My granddaughter, or any child for that matter, could be in very serious danger. I am so grateful she was visiting with me when I gave her this Christmas gift. It could have been fatal. I am returning this pronto!! Be warned!!

5 year old son loves it! We all want one, because it looks so cool in a dark room ! Highly recommend if you have a child that claims they are "afraid to sleep alone"!

I got this pillow for my little sister as a Christmas she was so excited to get it, it was one of her top items to get because she is afraid of the dark. it was working perfectly fine it lit up and everything she enjoyed it and it helped her go to sleep. just 4 days after having it the two wires that connected the battery pack to the lights in the pillow broke. I was so upset and so was she. first off the wires were too short so you couldn't even pull it out of the pillow and they were way to thin I wasn't surprised it broke. I really hope I can get refunded cause it really helps her go to sleep because its bright and she dis likes nightlights.

My 5 year old grand daughter loves it. It's pricey but it's fun. Nice and soft and I like the fact it turns off after 15 min.
