4.0 out of 5 stars Wanted 50 fertile Women., January 7, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Bright Companion (Paperback)
Communites containing fertile women were the only centers of purposeful life, and the only such communities we the scattered settlements. An educated and energetic young man was trapped between a society of agin illiterates and a community of selfish bigots. The only place within reach was Sherando, and his name was reviled there.

The only place the young man could think of was the Enclave. His father said that the Enclave was the one civilized state which might survive the Chaos Intact. It was the root fron which the settlements had sprung. He knew little about it except it survived and lay somewhere on the far side of tha Atlantic Ocean. Ultimately it was his only option for survival.
