Unreliable Product and company,

I bought 2 DIY L1 units on 6/25/2010 . I installed the first one around 1st July in a Sears touch lamp that I bought 35 years ago & it burn out in 5 ½ months. This was plugged into the same socket as another Sears lamp that has worked for more than 10 years.I installed the second in mid Dec and it only lasted about 2 weeks. I have written to Bright Images twice about collecting on the warranty. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't gotten any responce. The unit is unreliable and I couldn't recommend it to anyone.
