Pros: This one goes together easily. It folds up very simply and pops right back into place for using. At 16 lbs. it rocks my daughter gently with two power options left for her growth. The seat is angled nicely so that she sits up enough to see the toy bar but reclines enough to fall asleep. The straps are engineered nicely to hold her in place. The buckle is simple, easy on the fingers, and has a nice cloth cover. The music is groovy, soothing, and just the right volume. It is lightweight. It is colorful and fun.

Cons: When folded it is 23"x27"x9". We use duffels when flying for extended periods. At 27" on one side, this will not easily fit in a standard sized duffel and maintain the duffel's shape. For new parents: my experience is that if the swing is angled into a duffel so that the edges are the widest protrusion of the bag (even with clothing, etc. packed around it to fill the bag,) damage will occur to the protruding part of the swing during transport to, from, and within the plane. Be aware of this if a swing is essential to your baby's sanity (and yours) during your trip. Tip: We have a padded car seat backpack and it would fit in there pretty well if you're willing to pack your clothes in that. Sure, its not chic and its not comfortable to carry, but it is an option.

It would be great for going to Grandmother's or Hilton Head in the SUV with only 4 seats up, but it will not fit in the trunk of a sedan with a full size stroller, luggage for four, and all the other stuff. For a sedan, it will probably have to go behind the front seats.

This product is amazing. It folds up very easily and is pretty compact for taking it in the car. The swing has an automatic shutoff to save battery life, which is nice because my kids don't have to constantly swing. The only issue I had with it is the nob to adjust the speed is a little tough to turn, but other than that I couldn't ask for much more. My sons are 15 lbs and it swings easily on any setting, slow or fast. Very quiet as well, I don't ever hear it compared to my other swing which clicks when it swings out.

I bought this as a second/travel swing. I already have papasan swing at home and my 3 months old daughter loves it. Most of the times, it calms her down and she falls asleep in the swing.
This bright starts swing is very cheap looking and doesn't work. First of all, it doesn't swing unless I position my daughter at a certain angle. Even with that, it barely swings at maximum speed. Secondly, my daughter seems very uncomfortable in it and she gets fussy after about five minutes. Also the songs are very tacky and not something that babies will find comforting or soothing.
Please spend extra 50-60 bucks and get a better swing. I ended up throwing this swing away. Waste of money.

i registered for this and received it as a gift... read that it's safe for newborns... but i cant put my 2 week old in it because her head flops around... not a safe design for newborns at all...

we purchased this compact swing for the grandparent's condo. it's small, and works great. my son loves it too. please note, you can't use energizer batteries (which i typically purchase) for some reason - if you use them you'll think the swing is broken, but it's not, just use Duracell batteries (that's what they told us when we called with the issue)

I am very disappointed with my purchase of this item. We bought this when our baby was born and we have been unhappy with it since the day we put her in it. If I could have found the receipt I would have taken it back, thank goodness we got it during a half price sale!
It is not really suitable for a newborn - no head support. The swing function only works when baby is placed perfectly in the right position otherwise it won't work (we thought the batteries went flat on the first use, but bub had moved slightly and it had affected the operation of the swing). As the swing function only works about a quarter of the time, I use it now merely as a chair to occupy her with tunes for 5mins, and even then the tunes are chinky and not really nice. I would have much preferred to spend the money on a simple rocker and floor play gym. As for portability, we find it too bulky to take anywhere. It is a constant reminder to me to ALWAYS read product reviews before purchasing baby products, even if they are on sale.

Although I was desperate to get this baby swing there is something that I really do not like about this it is a b attery drainer! Batteries won't last 2 days. So if your looking to purchase a lot of batteries by all means, however if not graco is the way to go. My vdaughter had a graco swing when she was a baby and the batteries never died on me and I used it a lot. Just letting you know to keep your options open.

I bought this swing because I was looking for a travel swing to bring places. Since we already have an expensive swing; I tried to save money and purchse a lesser expensive swing - bad mistake. This swing took over 2 + hours to put together and was difficult. The product seems cheap. My 8 week old child kept sliding down in the swing; although I had strapped him into the harness system (difficult and time consuming as well). Although my child has good physical development for his age; he kept sliding down. The swing provided no support at all. Now that I want to return the swing; it is even more challenging to take apart. Take my advice, don't try to save money on baby equiptment!

I ordered two swings and BOTH were defective. I originally selected this swing solely because it was much less expensive than the others I saw. However, I exchanged the first swing because we could never get it working - and we tried everything! After exchanging it for a new model, we could not get the second model to work either (not even my father, the mechanic, could help). I finally gave in and purchased a Fisher Price travel swing, and I love it! It was well worth the extra cost.

The single fine threaded screw that caps the batteries is to small for the tension that the batteries springs produce.
Seriously, who designs a screw with spring pressure that gets threaded into plastic? This serious design flaw causes the single screw to strip the plastic and renders the entire assembly useless because you cant keep any batteries in. Whoever designed that component needs to be fired!!!! I was able to change the batteries twice before the thread stripped in the plastic.
Because of this issue,(one tiny non-functioning screw) its a complete piece of crap!!!!
