I had one of these for my first son 4 years ago and got rid of it when he outgrew it due to no storage in our apartment. I have another son now and we purchased another one. I love this product and had to review it since I saw so many negative reviews about it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Misleading Product Name
I purchased this for my 4 month old daughter because she loves to bounce. You'd think with the word "bounce" in it's name TWICE, the Bounce Bounce Baby Activity Zone would be at least a little bit bouncy. Not so. There is virtually nothing bouncy about this thing, it just has a little platform held on by elastics that gives a little under her weight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value!, June 4, 2010
I had one of these for my first son 4 years ago and got rid of it when he outgrew it due to no storage in our apartment. I have another son now and we purchased another one. I love this product and had to review it since I saw so many negative reviews about it.

It isn't the bounciest toy in the world but I hadn't even THOUGHT about that when my first son used it. He used it from about 5 months until 10 months or so and it was wonderful. He jumped up and down constantly...not as HIGH as maybe a jumperoo would go, but he was still able to bounce, exercise, and smile all day long. My baby now is just under 4 months and is still too small to JUMP but he likes to stand, look around, and play with the toys. This keeps him occupied for long periods of time when I'm cooking, showering, etc.

My husband put this together w/no problems but it did take a little while. Unlike a few other reviewers, we have not had any problem adjusting the height on this OR the last one we had. I've found it to be easy.

I think for a $35 baby product you can't get any better than this. We aren't in a position to buy the $70+ exersaucers and this is a great alternative.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this for my 4 month old son. He really likes it and he seems to really enjoy the standing position. He always gives me big smiles when he sees me from across the room. This has been great for me to be able to set him in a safe area for him to play in while I can get some other things done. Very nice product and the colors are very cute.

I purchased this for my 4 month old daughter because she loves to bounce. There is virtually nothing bouncy about this thing, it just has a little platform held on by elastics that gives a little under her weight.

The colors are appealing and she seemed to like the toys but I bought it so she could get some exercise and that just wasn't going to happen with this product.

I ended up returning this and getting the Fisher-Price Precious Planet Jumperoo and, even though it's twice as much, she seems to actually have fun in it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great more compact entertainer for the price, January 29, 2009
This review is from: Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby Activity Zone, Neutral (Baby Product)
This is a great entertainer and doesn't take up as much space as the other larger ones out there. If you want one that is not quite so bulky but keeps your child safe and entertained while you need to do something with two hands for a few minutes, I would recommend this one. We did add a couple of toys to it with some Bright Starts rings you can buy. I had one with my first child that was so large it was hard to move around and took up the whole room. And, even though it is more compact, my baby is 7 months and 19+ pounds and he fits in it nicely and likes it.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Bang for your Buck in a smaller place!, April 2, 2009
This review is from: Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby Activity Zone, Neutral (Baby Product)
We bought this for my son at 7 months, when he was ready for this type of toy. We chose it over the "exersaucers" as it was more compact and better priced. Plus we liked the colors, and toys and thought he would too. He loved it. Once he realized he could turn the seat around, he really loved spending time in it spinning from one activity to the next and grabbing a cheerio on his way. Now at 13 months, he spends very little time in it - BUT the great thing is, b/c it is stable, he is learning to cruise around it. This was the first place in the house where he learned to stand and loved it (feeding himself those cheerios again) and it made me smile when I saw him taking steps around it to get to the music and other toys. Now he does circles around the outside (and rarely sits in it, he is too tall now) but he is still loving it. We are definitely getting a lot of use out of and are so proud of ourselves for choosing this model. The chair works great now for holding stuffed animals. We did have to watch carefully when he started pulling up, b/c it could tip (and the reason I knocked off a star) - but now that he "pulls up" by pushing himself up with his legs - it is no longer an issue, the toy has just become something to stabilize him. Love it love it love it and can't recommend it enough!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, March 14, 2011
By
My 5 month old loves this activity center. I was afraid she might reject it since she has a fisher price jumperoo at day care, but she lights up when I put her in the Bright Starts one. She is a small girl for her age - but her feet just about touch the platform - enough to make her happy - and she loves watching the lights and hearing the music. She can hold on to the flower and turn its petals - it delights her to no end! I think people under estimate how little it takes to entertain a baby. I thought about spending twice as much on fisher price one - but I am glad I didn't. I thought it was pretty easy to put together, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars great compact entertainer, February 10, 2009
This review is from: Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby Activity Zone, Neutral (Baby Product)
we purchased this entertainer as a second one to our baby einstein jumper entertainer. it's compact, and works great. my son started using it at 4 months, and is small for his age - so it's even great for the smaller babies. there is a height adjustment that we will be able to use as he grows.

it's easy to move around the house or even through in the trunk of the car (we have a mini suv) to keep him occupied at our friend's houses.

3.0 out of 5 stars just ok, June 9, 2008
i got this for my son when he turned 7 months and he absolutlely loves standing up and playing with the toys! he has so much fun on it but the reason i give it only 3 stars is because he doesnt really bounce up and down on it to well. i expected it to be more springy and also the seat has no back support so when he moves around he bumps into the toys. i guess its just good for this price!

4.0 out of 5 stars The boys likes this one!, July 15, 2008
The boy likes this a lot. I startd him in it a little earlier than reccomended age, probably about 4 months. It was a little awkward for hima t first, as others have stated, he couldn't reach the bungee platform. Just stick a pillow under it and it'll be perfect. BUT, I planned for him to grow into this, which he has. At six months, he can spin himself around, and seems to like to toys available, especially the mirror! I would say this to any negative reviews I've read: With proper supervision, I see no problem with this item.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad., May 8, 2008

My 6 month old definitely enjoys the toys along the tray. The seat spins easily and he has no problem reaching all of them. The toys are also incredibly cute but the mirror was blurry and hard to see in.

He doesn't really understand how to bounce and the few times he has moved his feet on the platform, it stayed in place without moving him at all. I'm sure he'll figure it out with time.

Assembly took maybe 45min to an hour. I like the ability to add different Bright Starts toys. My son has a tummy time mat from Bright Starts and I hooked a couple of the toys from that on the arms of this one, and he really liked that.

My biggest complaint is adjusting the bounce platform height. I could barely pull the hooks out to move the platform up and down. The little handles were barely large enough to hold and it took all of my strength to get them out of the legs. When I was trying to adjust one leg, the hook came back and pinched my finger in it, which seemed kind of dangerous. I guess that it's difficult so kids can't do it, but I dread doing it again when my son gets bigger.

Overall, it is a nice product at a fair price.
